Helicopter blade possible fix

i discovered a flag that could make a helicopter blade spin since it worked to make a titan turret spin. The flag is

TurretSpins=yes/no

Amazingly simple yes but it works so if you had a helicopter with a blade as a turret it would spin and if you have a problem with the speed all you need to do is increase the turret rotation speed

(EDIT) i forgot to mention that it doesn't move its turret independently to fire what happens is the gun will fire every time the front of the turret faces the target as it spins it fires and if it was spinning as fast as a helicopter blade should spin it definitely wouldn't matter

Sorry for all these posts but not really many people use the research forum so i didn't think it matters next time all add multiple things too the same post

Yea but in that test those are vehicles with air craft characteristics im talking about applying it to an aircraft

There are two methods to aircraft rotors: HVA animation, and spinning turrets.
(actually four, if you count stationary rotors or a rotor "disc" #Tongue )

HVA animation is best for transport copters like Chinhooks. You can add multiple rotors, and they only spin while the aircraft is moving.

HVA anim is not good for attack copters though, as the HVA stops animating when the heli hovers in an attack. in this case, it's best to use TurretSpins=yes

You could use an optical illussion to have a stationary blade looking moving. Like When you draw a picture, and you make a little blur.

a little tough to do though with voxels, as they aren't transparent or anti-aliasing..

I was thinking about density, with little holes givving the illusion of less dense and stuff. GRadient I guess is the word.

all these things don't work and were tried before.

Turretspins doesn't works because aircraft can't have a turret (known hardcoded issue)
hva anims don't work because aircraft doesn't use hva anims (known hardcoded issue)

aircraft done as a jumpjet vehicle is already known for a long time that the 2 methods above work.
So no new discovery.

I can't remember who, but I was talking to someone quite a while ago, and this person said that he/she got the spinning rotors working to full extent but had a lot of setbacks. I think it was Morpher.

I thought the topic was already implying that he was using jumpjet vehicles.
I just didn't figure anyone would be stupid enough to think real aircraft could have moving rotors Rolling Eyes

There can be in it all problem that it is necessary to set a correct name to a file shp.

Tried done tested doesnt work
leftover RA1 code

Edit: What program are you using in that screenshot ?

The game reads but does not use Rotors or CustomRotor at all!

The files RROTOR.shp and LROTOR.shp are loaded too but never drawn.

PE Explorer is good for viewing strings too, it will trucante strings that are in C++ format.

Queed could have got it to work with aircraft if he's using an earlier version of TS.
