I've looked into all of the mixes and I can't find where those damn sound effects (explosions, cannons, guns...) are located #Mad

So I'd really appreciate if somebody could tell me where they are Wink

RA2:
language.mix -> audio.mix -> audio.idk (the index of sounds) and
audio.bag (the actual sounds)

Controlled by sound.ini

Yuri's Revenge:
langmd.mix -> ausiomd.mix -> audio.idk (the index of sounds) and
audio.bag (the actual sounds)

Controlled by soundmd.ini

Ok, this is all great, since I'm interested in putting in a new sound effect. I've opened up the .bag files, but do you also have to open the .idx and edit it?

Again, my ultimate goal is to add new sounds.

No. The IDX is just an index that references the sounds. You don't need to do anything with it.

All you need is the XCC Mixer and its Sound Editor. Then you just drag and drop the sounds right into the BAG file.
