I read the tutorial on para tank drop and even though what the guy posted was wack and didnt work atleast without adding a few lines. But any way i was fiddle diddling around and holy cow check it out, and these aint infantry with a tank image either, Real tanks baby... Didnt need any kind of patch or do any ini file changes either. I will have the code data for ya tomorrow.

I think I've heard of it. You'll only need a ParaDropWeapon and Carryall. Though it didn't spark my attention. And by the way, nice map. Smile

na, for some reason the carryall=yes tag along with the paradropweapon just does not work, however you can transport multiple tanks that nway you cannot parachute them. for some reason unknown to me, the only way to achieve this is to make your tanks hoverable

There's a big flaw. The hover. It makes any vehicle too good and that should be entirely unnecessary since I've seen this done with the same logic with a regular vehicle.

Well i've tried everything else i could think of, , just couldnt get airplane to fire the tanks out parachuted without having them hoverable, there are set ups that alow you to load several tanks at once but unable to parachute them. But if there is a way i'd sure like to know please. and please do not tell me to use n patch or rock patch as to keep it online playable.. and hover tanks aint so bad, able to move anywhere?=yes, but just tone down thier speed and fire power to compensate for the ability to move anywhere.

It's not worth having units JUST for paradropping and if they're hover, they don't need to be dropped. You're defeating your own logic.

Use the ParaDropWeapon on a JumpJet. That's how I saw it done.

Also. You can play online with NPatch.

its not defeating the logic, and you can make them hover and still not be able to cross the water, which paradropping them makes plenty sense to me.

Still seems like a huge waste. Use the NPatch like everyone else or deal with limitations. It's your choice.
