This was only my second model + skin, so it's pretty poor.
If you want to add it to C&C3, then it's assumed you have enough basic knowledge to be able to do it yourself! My .XML file is included has a guide, so you know what .W3X does what, and also a basic idea of how this turret was coded.
For the more advanced, I have included a cleaned up version of the original .PSD used to generate the various texture files.
Feel free to edit and generate your own texture files (for example, you might want to remove the graffiti). My work is very unorganised, that was the best I could do!
Also a variety of max 9 files are included, for example an unused turret variant. I included a number of files that will give you an idea of the reactor process I used in order to get the turrets destruction animation.
Have fun!

It looks great, but I think it's better if it's standard without the graffiti Wink

I love the graffiti, but like I said, the PSD is there for those that don't.

Eh, I found a version (targa) with no Graffiti, no damaged texture though.
Also the alternative turrets textures (targa).

could you render the base to the RA2/TS camera and 3ds2vxl the turret? that'd just be really cool.

ok. Get the 3d model of the concrete bit. Find a camera setup for Tiberian Sun or Reda Alert 2 (there's one around somewhere #Tongue I beliece MT has one for blender). Put that into it, and render it at the correct angle. You'll get a 2d image, if there is a damaged model/texture render that too, these 2d images can C/ped into the 2d files that C&C uses (called shps). A guy called flyby wrote a script that transforms 3d models (meshes) into voxels (volume pixels), the primitive "3D" that Tiberian sun Red Alert 2 use. Give the renders and the .vxl file to somebody else with more knowledge to sort out, and you will be a minor hero #Tongue

hows about you release it in .3ds format, and then Lt can take care of the rest Wink. Many of do not have 3dsmax because of it's price tag, and revert to using to free modellers, almost all of which can import .3ds. It's great what you are doing, and you did a good job.

What? I can't do any of that stuff! My 3dsmax doesn't even work!

Don't think the base texture is that interesting (I actually think the graffiti was good).

Also Albrecht its kinda like natural selection. Can't do, don't get. #Tongue

The concrete's texture should be little darker in some spots, to make it look authentic in a war situation

if you have any other 3d program, then you can handle the .3ds file, and thus, take care of it. And even with the .3ds file, you can make your voxel.

Removed second picture.
That was a very early version, long discarded by me.
The 1st post picture is the pristine version now, it gets much worse when damaged.
Play Tiberian History to see the Turret in action (C&C 3 mod).

I have no idea what translates down from max to 3ds (for example I doubt the reactor stuff will)
I've included a couple .3ds files.

Perfect, thanks.

THe model can also be made to work in C&C Generals, as it fits the poly limit.

I love the graffiti but it seems just a lil off, perhaps add in some grime and splatter. Wink
