I have this idea of having a mobile airport, but first is it possible to have an aircraft land or take off from another vehicle? cause I really dont want to have it DeploysInto=AMRADR. heres a pic of what im trying to do. any feed back, bad or good welcome on this...

I think he meant as in a mobile "AirForce Command", where you can actually command the planes that take off from it. Razz

Thats a negetive, its only allowed for buildings afaik, it seems really improbable that vehicles can be like that however using the destroyer logic (you would probably want to reduce it to one plane) you could make an aircraft carrier/destroyer tank since I believe ships are "vehicle" types and therefore land vehicles can have the same tags. Exactly how to do this is beyond me however.

why use HORNET? make a plane of your own design and make it spawn that. and the destroyer i believe uses the spawn method as well, so it dosent matter if he uses the AirCraft Carrier or the Destroyer logic. But spawning an aircraft is the only way to make this work, you cannot have it any other way unless you make it DeploysInto=;whatever airport which i know you said you didnt want to, but only way, sorry.

HORNET was just sample code obviously

Also to answer the original posts question building logic doesn't work on units

e.g. grizzlies making Power=

but I thought that was kinda obvious Wink

well I wish I could have used my original idea but I guess ill settle for the alternate route. So if i use the spawn method can i use my own spawn weapon like say
[MobileLauncher] instead of [HornetLauncher] or is this an internal thing? and im not a voxel maker so, but i can use some of the left over planes from TS i suppose.

You can make custom spawner weapons, just copy and paste the hornetlauncher, rename some the [ ] adjust the range and you should be fine.

Couldn't you make it like a construction yard where you undeploy it when you want it to move and deploy it when you want to command aircrafts from it? That way you can have the aircrafts on it be controllable rather than use the Aircraft Carrier logic stuff.

Although would its aircrafts be destroyed when you attempt to move it because they havn't got an airfield anymore and require you to build new aircraft each time you redeploy it? Unless you can make its aircraft not crash when no airfields are available, AirportBound?
