The mod is still moving, slowly. Im not sure but I feel like the old RA2 atmosphere is disapearing, very slowly but it's going away and its good thing too...
Here are some snow trees ive added. Just started a snow tree and bushes set with no snow on them also(realism I guess).
The other 2 pics are just for show, I don't you guys have seen the heli transport ingame yet so yea. Oh and the range for those tanks is 20, yea they are meant to shoot far.
Also spot the infs lol, little f*ckers might get further downsized and they are recoloures of the seal. Going through each frame fixing stuff and changing things so they still a WIP(pain the ass more like it).
Don't mind the Jeep(hummer) light vehicle, still needs a turret and some touch ups. It's just there for the size comparison.
For each voxel I try and make 10 times as much terrain. Only way it will stand a chance to finnish.
Also I wonder If I need to change the whole snow tile set. Maybe a Pallete change....hmmmm.
While Im at it here are some plans for each sides characteristics. Special change for the Soviets, since they got f%cked in the last war.
Allies: - Precission, most weapons are dead on
- Get higher tech units earlier than everyone else(except GDI).
- Most units are very balanced in armour firepower etc.
GDI: -Ver alike to the allies, but most units are multi functional. For example, almost all the air units I have planned have space for infantry.
-Like the allies they get higher tech units faster.
-high quality balanced units but expensive.
-higher tech units have some heavy ass armour, (mommoth)
-Speciallised Spy's etc so they are better aquiped to deal with the brotherhood of nod.
NOD -Very fast and mobile
-Units are unbalanced but usually have one thing that out wieghs the other. Example, the buggy is much faster and has nasty firepower but has thin armour.
-They get very insidious weapons, like gas and self destructing drones and soldiers(drones are not planned yet) etc.
- Lower tech units are not high quality but can outnumber you.
-Overall they are good against other infantry.
-They F you up from the inside lol.
Soviets -Somewhat like the brotherhood but, there units work in levels/tiers in a more specific way than the rest
Let me explain, level one soviet units(lowest tech) All of them have sacrifised one aspect for another less notable in infantry. Example: A level one Jeep will have high firepower but weak armour, will not be fast either. Maybe a bit faster than an allied jeep, however most level one units are cheap.
Also they don't get tanks until level two, they don't even get anykind of air unit until level two either. Their basic infantry is pretty good, on par with others. Only Naval units they get in level one are gunboats and small transports.
There tech tree overall takes longer to get through. This however only makes them weaker during the early stages of a game. If they hold you back long enough, your in trouble. They will have numbers on their side during level one so it won't be so easy.
When the reds get to level two, it becomes possible for them to attack effectively against a mid tech enemy. Most units are on par with their counterparts on the other side. However others factions will still have an edge on tech.
Most Soviets are not multi functional, except for level 3.
The Allies for example will have the heavy tank at this time etc etc.... The Brother hood however would most likey be a bit in danger.
Ok and finally level three, this when the real firepower comes, expensive but nasty as hell. The Soviet heavy tanks appear here, planning about 3 different types. The missile bombers and the tesla shit come now. Now the Reds can pretty much face you in any arena, sky, land, water etc. If you are facing a level 3 Soviet Army your gonna have a tough ass fight.
So you going for a three tier system?
-Are all units going to have a counterpart in a later tier?
-Are later tier units more effective than thier earlier tier counterparts? (like t1 cost $1 and does 1 dam but t2 cost $2 and does 3 dam).

The Soviets will work like that mostly. The rest won't except for the Allies and their tanks. Light in T1 medium in T2 and Heavy at the end of teir 2.
There won't be counterparts of lower teir units in higher teir except for a few Soviet light vehicles.
Plan to have a good variety of units in the game. QUICK_EDIT

Hey yo, the mod is still underway, but I have a big problem, yet to see if its fatal. My old modding comp died, so waiting to see of the my newer comp can read the HDD. I will see tommorrow, this might end very badly, I quit if the HDD is F$£cked.

Well thats still in planning stage specially for the GDI and Nod. Soviets and Allies will have full scale navies, lots of firepower.
I don't think its apropriate to give the Nod and GDI heavy Naval units, but that will unbalance the multiplayer game. Thats the thing though, Multiplayer is mainly for Nod versus GDI and the Soviets vs Allies. Also it will work with when if a major army(Reds/Allies) join with Nod or GDI.
Well actually you could balance everything depending on the weapons each side gets. Maybe the Nod and GDI get special Naval superweapons. That will probably happen after some time.
Anyways the Naval plans for now are like this:
Allies: Carriers, cruisers(long range bombardment), destroyers, gunboats (no submarines) Anti aircraft units and specially Anti Missile tech (there is a good reason for that). Good transport units hovercrafts and such.
They will get light versions of the aircraft carriers and recieve higher tech units earlier as I said before. Like most Allied units, their teir 1 and 2 units are well equiped.
GDI: Most Naval units will have anti sub tech, to deal with the Nod. No heavy stuff(Allies will take care of that).
The Broherhood: Very agile and nasty, suicidal subs, very fast units like gunboats and maybe with drones(but that will probably go to the GDI).
Plan on giving even the Naval units some chemical weapons so yea still planning.
Soviets: pretty much like the Allies but with submarines. Since their teir system affects them in a greater way. The heavy units only come at teir 3, very heavy stuff but expensive and late. The won't get any carriers until teir 3 either, destroyers and light subs come at teir 2. So they are weak at the start. Teir one units only specialise at one thing only except maybe for gunboats. No hovercrafts only landing craft which come at teir 2. Gunboats will be able to transport a few troops.

I always saw GDI as being a very flexible navy, aircraft carrier (even assault carriers) based, Renegade caught that well, so perhaps a Tarawa assault ship with 4 Orca's as their heaviest ship, then give them a cruiser or destroyer and finally their gunboat QUICK_EDIT
