well I think I might have wasted my time on my latest project, I made a OPCoilTank and a OPCoilTankwo to go with it. but didnt realize that after it was already made that the wo vxl is only used for NoSpawnAlt= tag. So I made a weapon

These are the tags on my unit:
Primary=TeslaLauncher
Spawns=OPCoilBolt2
SpawnsNumber=1
SpawnRegenRate=400
SpawnReloadRate=5
NoSpawnAlt=yes

[TeslaLauncher] <-------- My Primary Weapon
Damage=1
ROF=150
Range=18
MinimumRange=5
Spawner=yes
Projectile=Invisiblelow
Speed=10
Warhead=Special

[OPCoilBolt2] <--------My Spawned Weapon
Damage=2000
ROF=20
Spawned=yes
Range=20
Speed=100
Warhead=Electric
Report=ParisTowerAttack
Projectile=InvisibleLow
IsElectricBolt=true
DrawBoltAsLaser=yes

does anyone know of a way to spawn a weapon using the spawn codes? or im i screwed...

OPCoilBolt2 has to be an aircraft as you can't have another missilelauncher like the dreadnaught missile or v2. So you have to use the destroyer logic.

Let your tank spawn a dummy aircraft (like the destroyer) and give this dummy aircraft your actual teslacoil weapon, a high rotation, a low flying height and make it selfdestruct.
Then it should look ingame like the tank itself fired the teslabolt.

That's my idea, though there are way more experienced RA2 modder than me and they might have a better solution.

Spawn a wapon? lolwut? YOu can do shrapnel and aircurst, but I don't get what the F*ck you're trying to do...

Use the WO logic, which is afaik only possible on spawning weapons.

yeah he's drunk! Happy 4th of July to you too. Smile but anyway what im trying to do LT is I made this

Pic 1=tank
Pic2=wo

I'm trying to get the wo to fire my weapon which produces the EiffelBolt. But unfortunately the wo can only be used with the NoSpawnAlt= tag. So I'm trying to figure out a way to make it fire my weapon but it has to be spawned somehow.

"This tank is a prototype so no comments please! I know its ugly right now but no sense in finishing it if i cant fire my weapon."

@Lin Kuei Ominae- I tried the aircraft thing, didnt pan out so well.

He has a normal and a WO version of his unit and want to change between them when firing the weapon. Is that so very difficult to understand Confused

Not difficult to understand, but he'd be better off using SimpleDeployer logic to achieve the effect.

You just said the exact same thing m7 said, Dark Templar X #Tongue But yeah, I too would say the same - use simple deployer logic. Its your best bet Wink (also crevio, have you thought that your unit will look retarded as right after it fires, it's tesla coil drops down and then stands up when it fires again? It WILL look funny like that...)
