Spring is the engine, TA is the game.

TA was an old awesome game, everyone knows it around here.

Spring is a very powerful engine, might say its as powerful as SupComm's Engine...

here's the link to their page.

I can't play without desyncing, until they find a way to stop this I ain't touching it.

I still have the original TA disks so I play with friends with simple IP connect. Much more fun than spring Very Happy

I play Spring:1944 a bit. It's a testament to the power of the engine they've got a good, no compromises WWII mod out.

I'm in support of renegangsta's idea, I reckon TD/RA1 on Spring could be fun. Imagine those epic tank battles on fully 3d rolling hills, with better particle FX than Generals and detailed three dimensional vehicles on fully deformable terrain.

Spring is a 3d engine, and you can deform terrain by shooting it with stuff.

Well, even if it's just a bunch of gay inverted pyramids, it's still pretty impressive. I remember a very popular casual shitgame where nukes don't even leave a permanent crater.

lol, yea, its fully deformable, a nuke leaves a BIG mark, and I'm not kidding about it being big, it destroys your base in one go.

besides that...what game might that be :3

Renegangsta:
Go to your spring settings, enable Draw smooth points and Draw smooth lines, see if that helps.

o.o

I didn't know you had Win7, Im not sure if its compatible with Vista, most likely it isn't compatible with 7, so yea, you'd have to wait for a new version to come out that supports win7 and vista before you can play it on those OS. Sad

it most likely wont be supported as it seems companies are pushing forward and slowly dropping support for older hardware.
maybe ill try some compat mode for driver shit

Ok back on main topic. This engine looks interesting f'sure. I was experimenting with Crystalspace, but if I could find an engine to work with from the preestablished workings of an RTS, it may be worth looking into.
