Big guns in Malaysia(gulp!)

Not to upset any fellow Malaysians here but Malaysia's soon gonna be crawlin with gun tottin gangstas and cold-blooded robbers if da law doesn't step in.It may be old news(to anyone who knows about it)but there have been a robbery at a goldsmith in the country.One of the robbers was armed with an...AK-47!!How did he have a russian assault rifle in Malaysia?Seriously,I don't wanna see my fellow Malays killin people with such a weapon.Its just not worth it(look at my sig for proof).Also such guns are makin an appearance on Malaysian TV dramas as well.It really saddens me to see such things happening in a peaceful,largely Muslim country.The last thing I would expect are RPGs being used by Malaysian robbers... Crying or Very sad

Watch yer mouth Lexa.Not ALL Muslims are terrorist.Only those foolish extremist are( being a Muslim myself I strongly condemn them terrorshites).

Also this post are about low-life robbers and gangstas having access to such weapons in Malaysia,not terrorists.

Welcome to the developed world, don't worry, you'll get a few police armed response units wth MP5s and G36Cs, every tme these bastards show their faces they'll get taken down. There are AKs in britain, the secwret is to make the criminals too scared to use them Wink

In the area you're in I'm not surprised you've got AKs in, the LTTE went down so any shipments of arms to them are looking for new customers, china isn't far away and they're churning out the cheap and cheerful type 59 AK knock-offs and theres a few other insurgencies and "liberations" going on.

To be honest as long as the authorities have some good firepower they can bring down quick having an AK at a robbery is like putting a beacon over your head saying "yooohooo! police sniperrrr! I'm a valid target!".

The AK-47, when produced right, is cheap, durable and has more stopping power than most modern assault rifles. If in an expert's hands, the said person can be more of a threat than any police or S.W.A.T./special forces officer. That is why it is popular(also drum mag+AP rounds)

Also, maybe it's me, but why is everyone so afraid of terrorists and criminals?

We should be happy with the terrorists! The chinese, the americans, the europeans and the russians are all focussed on killing terrorists instead of each other.

What's the worst thing terrorists can do? Kill a couple thousand people.

What's the worst thing the big military powers can do? Blast the planet into total nuclear death.
