I got inspired by something I saw that one of my friends had (some model on his shelf). Before I go any further, I would like to give credit where credit is due- I used raminator's RA3 Hammer Tank VXL as a basis for its treads (because my treads were terrible). Thank you raminator!

Lotsa angles. I still don't like autonormals if they are gonna be finicky...

Try taking on THAT mess.

Charge?

I figured it would be something like the Battle Fortress w/o the "opentopped=yes" -- Run over stuff, and fire infantry-harassing short-ranged artillery shells through the dozer blade. It was either that, or a machine gun, but that's been done before. Break up the monotony!

Again, please leave me suggestions, as I welcome them. Next time, I won't have to use something else as a base for my models, I can just make it completely from scratch- I will scratch the whole time. And I might just make something people will enjoy!

A little plain but actually feels as if it has a place in C&C. try painting over the remap with Soviet scheme. Btw learn to make zips, it'll help you make the readme, vxl, and hva smalller in file size and easier to download; it's like making a folder just when going to it don't press folder but compressed (zipped) folder, and then move the files in it. (it makes a copy so don't bother copy & pasteing just act like you moving them in to the folder. I'm guessing this is your first voxel?

P.S. If your finished with it just post in the finished voxels forum.

Well, its my first one that's virtually from scratch. Most other ones I did were either re-colors, reshapes, mash-ups, or otherwise pieces of shit that were not worthy of sharing with others.

I started with a soviet style scheme, with that olive-y color, but every time I looked at it, it stared back at me like it was just lame. When I gave it color, it really popped for me. But I guess I can go over it again with some other colors. Im learning, so stuff like this helps. If I got it right the first time, I wouldn't learn.

I can do that, sure. If it makes life easier for people, then that is what I will do from now on.

Ah, well for some strange reason it looks very well even with the remap. As for the zips, yeah, they're easier on slow modems and helps package it up without multiple downloads. Try these two alternate schemes:

Scheme 1
This one is a darker scheme.

Scheme 2
This one is Yurish scheme but is still in the soviet section, just very dark colors.

Yeah, I was trying for the second scheme, but in the end scrapped it. At this point, I have a good idea how to recolor it.

But I figured, have you ever looked at a tractor? Its generally one solid bright color. I guess I have been hanging out in upstate NY too long. I have quite a few ideas in mind now for a re-build of it. Thanks for the advice!

Yeah, true but have you seen a tank with red stripes on it when the general color is a tan color. Remember this is C&C. Anyhow good luck on the rebuilding.

Here is a recolor of it... I spent about two days revising it. I tried a turret or two, then cut them back out (it looked funny). Anyway, here is it! BTW, I used the exact shade of tan & gray from a rhino tank. If it looks funny, its the different angle + autonormals that make it look different.

Enjoy, and keep sending the suggestions my way. I really appreciate it.
(I kinda figured those little gray cheese wedges just behind the top hatch were grenade launchers maybe. Thats how it gets through a battle for me, plus being an omnicrusher=yes)

If RA2 had deformable terrain, you could use it to fill the holes, like in TI.
