Cool,but is it me,or the bricks are a bit too big?

IMO the top looks inflated - it doesn't have the sharp angles of a brick structure. But I like it anyway.

They are big. It could have done with an extra row of bricks on both ground and first level.
Also it could be said that the structure itself in game could be scaled down slightly. The infantry are all giants in C&C 3, so they should not look correctly scaled against the bunker, which I believe they do at the moment.

I believe that you are right. It is not supposed to be like that, only the spikes are smoothed in the max model.
I did see a slight shading error in the upper section that might indicate a face normal problem, I'll look into it.
