I've been trying to apply the 1.7 (IIRC) of RockPatch (the latest version patched by pd for TFD). I have a fresh install of TFD RA2 and YR, and I tried to apply it, but it said that I needed a clean copy of a 1.001 binary. Like I said, it was said to be patched for TFD, so I have no clue what's going on. I was wondering if anyone could either post a RockPatch or NPatch binary patched for TFD, or if they could patch a newer version for TFD. I even tried using universal extracter and using GnuWin's (IIRC) built "patch" program to apply the .pat file to gamemd.exe, but it didn't work (at least as far as I could tell; I made a small mod making the MP colors pink, and they weren't pink). I don't remember whether the patching gave me an error or not, but I think so.

I'm really interested in getting those extra RP/NP features. Extra armors, Ion Cannon and Nuke SWs (Which are important in my private mod), and custom palattes. The last isn't intergal to my mod, but would be EXTREMELY USEFUL should I put in my other two sides (via Countries, not actual new Sides).

Thanks in advance.

P.S. With Rock/NPatch, is it possible to change the docking cell on a refinery? I have either a 1x1 or 2x2 refinery (not sure what size it is in YR), and I read in the description on ModEnc about 3x3REFINERY that it's always some cell in the 4th row or something. Is there anyway to overcome that in R/NP? I really don't want to have several empty cells to the left of the tiberium refinery. Also, when I changed my barracks in a proof-of-concept mod I was working on into the Smithsonium, it built infantry, but refunded them when complete. Does the barracks have to be a certain size to work? This foundation stuff is breaking me.

P.P.S. I wanted to use SHP tanks in my mod. Right now I copying DTA's art .ini entries as I make a unit. I saw that the Mammoth Tank's turret worked, but the chasis was fubar, pardon my language. I suspect this is due to the 32 directions hack DTA uses, but there's the question of the turret working just fine. Below is the code I'm using.

Code:

[HTNK] ;I'd like to note that I commented out the other HTNK entry.
Cameo=HTNKICON
AltCameo=HTNKICON ;I'm not particulary concerned about how it looks on the sidebar.
Voxel=no
Remapable=yes
PrimaryFireFLH=12,-9,-3
SecondaryFireFLH=-12,-6,-3
PBarrelLength=192
Facings=32 ;32 Facing hack, remember.
WalkFrames=1 ;Is this it?
StartStandFrame=40 ;Or this?
StartWalkFrame=40 ;Or this?

Please forgive my noobishness. I've been modding for years, but it's mainly been cheating at Single-Player and stuff until recently. I'm not particulary talented in the Art department, I'll warn, though. Assets are DTA, including most palettes. I left in the palettes for the ground, so now the structures I haven't replaced are screwy-looking, as are the RA2 stock vehicles, but the infantry (for all the standard infantry, save the technician, are in now) look fine, as does the tiberium (straight from DTA) and the cameos. Again, private mod. I might ask Bittah Commander later for permission to release if I feel like it. Otherwise it's staying on my harddrive and my father's harddrive.

Again, thanks in advance.

Probably no. In TS, it doesn't work without an .exe hack. in Yuri's revenge, IDK. What's screwing me up is that the turret works flawlessly. If 32 facing for the body makes it permanently face NE, how come the turret works perfectly. This is made worse by the fact there's only 1 SHP vehicle in YR (IIRC, the Terror Drone). That, and I haven't seen any fan-made YR SHP Vehicles (TS ones I have seen, but they use the 32 facings hack.)

As for the off-topicness, I went off topic in the first post of my own thread, so don't you worry about that. ;P I'm just glad someone replied.

I've reinstalled RA2 and Yuri's Revenge (due to it randomly deciding that, even without mods, it was going to give me IEs before the Westwood/EA/Intro combined movie) and backed up my .EXEs, so I'll try various patches.

P.S. Is it possible to move the paracute for the paradrops down a little? It doesn't look right with the E1-6s or RMBO.

EDIT: I tried every copy of RockPatch/NPatch that I know of (except for the "gamemd.exe hacked" one), and none of them worked. So I uninstalled TFD YR (but not TFD RA2) and installed YR from a friend's copy of YR. It crashes at the end of the install after 100% files installed, then takes about 3 minutes to stop playing the BG music and give me the darned error message (Does setup.exe gives except.txts? ;P). So then I look and see that there are YR files in my RA2 directory. I run gamemd.exe and nothing happens. I run ra2md.exe, and it goes to a black screen for 3 minutes and then closes. I run YURI.exe a couple of times. The first couple of times it says it can't find the disk (which is in Drive M:\, as drives C:\ through J:\ are partitions of my internal harddrive, and P:\ is my external harddrive). The last time, it says the disk is not formatted correctly and asks me to cancel, retry, or continue. I click the later two several times, and the same message pops up. Finally, it tells me that the disk could not be found. I am about ready to throw my computer out the darned window.

So I have three hunches: 1.) It's because it's not in drive D:\. 2.) It's because I have TFD RA2 (though the Retail YR installer recognized it was in P:\TFD\). 3.) This is EA punishing me for not liking Generals.

One final thing: I tried to apply the 1.001 patch to YR, and it was going fine until it got to gamemd.exe. It died at that point.

So, does anyone have any clue about how to get RockPatch to work? I don't want to buy a darn new computer and Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge again. I don't have enough money to pay FCA dues ($15.00). I don't have enough money to buy a Chick-fil-a bisket ($2.50). This is ticking me off because I want airstrikes and SpySat SWs and more countries. I'm really going insane. I've been trying to get this working for 2 months now.

I just remembered one last thing. The gamemd.exe etc. on my friends CD under the Install dir were different than the ones in my folder. Also, when I went to look up this directory's name, I saw that, apparently, Windows temporarly stopped recognizing the disk, so that explains that. Ejecting and reinserting the disk, I tried YURI.exe again only to get that it couldn't find the disk. Come to think of it, I don't remember the formatting thing saying YR at the top, so I'm guessing that was Windows. I'm going to bed. Good nought.
