Because I won't always need them.

Funny thing. Them deleting the old FTP just broke autopatching. Oh god I can't wait for everyone else to realize this.

Doesn't matter. Autopatch should still be supported for these old games. It's the easiest and laziest way to update.

EA is willing to patch their shitty sports games that quit selling the minute a new one is announced 4 months after the current one came out. But can't support something that's kept itself alive for about 10 years?

If by having a bunch of angry fans and mods that generally don't go beyond GDI vs Nod or Allies vs Soviets is keeping C&C alive then I suppose your statement is 100% true. Yes. C&C keeps itself alive.

hotrods20's mod is better than the last 8 Madden games combined.

Some support should be shown, especially if they don't have to run the servers.

If i was you i whould host the sever myself asuming you have the money, otherwise just accept it and move on, like the rest of us.

It's true EA has done their share of botching, but there's no need to pounce on them every problem that comes up.
