unit spawn when destroyed

I'm trying to make a Matryoshka tank for the soviets. The idea is when the tank is destroyed a new smaller tank is spawned; further, when this in turn is destroyed an even smaller one shows up and so on.
I'm not too familiar with spawning all I know is you can spawn inf from an animation or from a building using "FreeUnit=". But when a unit dies... idk.
So, is there a way?

The only thing that comes close to what you want would be to use Npatch's custom crew feature. Then you can tell the tank to spawn a specific infantry when it is destroyed.
