That's up for debate, whether it's nature or nurture.

I'd say it's something of both. Most things are part nature, part nurture. Remember, humans are incredibly complex creatures.

I'd say its nature, really. Other animals, too, have taken part in homosexual relationships. Lions for example... I mean, ideally every animal is supposed to breed to spread their genes, I don't THINK these animals are engaging in homosexual behavior because is 'different' or anything (I mean lets face it, a cat's ass is the same regardless of gender.), this is just caused by something in the womb.

Hormones (as in smell) should tell to an animal which sex the other animal, of the same specie of course, is. Btw, did you know that dinosaurs, like modern birds and reptiles, have their reproductive organs in their anus (since they have no penis or anything)?
