2021: Cataclysm: Recruiting
Due to the absence and retirement of many of our staff members, were in open recruiting for 2021: Cataclysm.
In case you dont know what it is, its a Pre-Dur-Post Apocalyptic Total Conversion (Total means new terrain, new music, new UI...) for Yuri´s Revenge, with a large and elaborated storyline, in which theres a clash between two well defined factions, the Fascists, which are composed by most Europe, North America, and Asia, against the Rebels, composed by another part of Asia, Africa And South America. The revolutionary concept is that nothing is parent with any other games here. Who was bad is good and viceversa, and the development of the storyline is actually a possibility of future (not a close one perhaps, but it is). The number of playable factions is two, however theres a total of five factions planned, one of which is crucial in this storyline, another one which is crucial in another storyline, and another one which is just a wrecked civilization.
We have only four positions available, and we require dedicated people, who have good contact capabilities. The project will suffer an inmediate reactivation, so we are looking forward to have more active members. Our staff is 13 currently, but as said perviously, many have retired, so we need staff in certain specific areas we cannot cover due to time.
The first position is UI Designer. Our GFX team is crippled, and i cannot handle 3D Design and Concept Arts as well as Menues at the same time. This comes from my scarse time problem. So i cannot deal with everything myself. The task is simply work with us in how the UI should be and design it in Photoshop. The requirements are just maturity and well, knowing how to use Photoshop.
The second position is a coder. With me working on graphics, and some people a little out of touch, we need someone who goes working at our pair in the measure i give models. Only need, is knowledge on all INI files.
The third position, is a terrain artist. I have established the basis for two theatres with the aid of Clazzy, but then again i lack time to work closely on the two new terrains, and the modifications to the other ones (One of the terrains is already done). Knowledge on XCC TMP Editor, Photoshop/PSP and iso*.ini files is imperative.
The fourth and final position is not really needed now, but will be in a future. Besides as there are not enough qualified people, whomever applies might need to learn a little from me. Its mission making. The game will have at a future version, 6 missions per side, which ill supervise myself. As you know, im very well experienced on the subject, then again i cant work out THAT much time. I can however, help whomever applies to develop into a mission making guru...so theres double benefit. Only thing you need, is basic knowledge of FA2YR (includes TriggerTypes, Variables, INI coding).
I guess thats all we need. Itd be best if you can show some of your work as well. Were aiming to include all we can in this project, as i name it, perhaps the last large YR TC. Its as well my goodbye project from YR, and perhaps my last project for C&C community, so as you can guess its got a certain value, thus why i want to make it that big.
