Wow, I never really new how powerful and easier to use AutoCad was to Blender. I know I will not be using Blender anymore. this added with the new VoxelEditor that saves voxels as .obj files I just may make everything in my mod .shp. .shp's have better quality IMO.

Nobody uses this program? somebody, anybody? Just wanna know where I can get some good plugins and stuff. My internet explorer is acting kinda funny, most of the time when I try to search it comes back with some funky error or page not found crap.

Here's something I'm working on, what do ya think so far?

DJBREIT used it to model the train tracks for the TX IIRC. I was under the impression that AutoCAD was more for technical design work that creative 3D work however. That and the fact Blender is considerably cheaper to license a copy of if you are trying to be legit.

That's what I thought too but it's "totally" equipt for 3D modeling.

This is legit software, it was my late fathers who passed away last year,"no condolences needed" He was a Contractor and my mother gave me his software. I just didnt know what it did till now. The only downfall is I can only save my projects as a 3D DWF file which dosent really matter cause they are going to end up as .shp's anyway.

I'm sure there are converters for the format if you wanted them for voxels. Since I am unfamiliar with the package, how is it for texturing and animation (use of bones, animated deform modifiers and such)?

Texturing is pretty sweet and easy as pie. Just open up the Materials folder, choose new texture/material. a sphere pop's up then gives you the option of pasting an image or whatever right on to the sphere. just find the folder where you'd have your textures/materials at and double click it, and it's ready to go. Animations are simplified also, however Bones are not an option with AutoCad though there is a plugin-3ds max to AutoCad, which brings alot of functions that 3ds max has and imports them into AutoCad- Bones and modifiers and such are included. It's not a free of charge plugin so I do not have it at the moment. But all in all I'd rate the program an 8/10
