Nice, very handy link for the Vista users. Does this apply to Window's 7 as well?

It's still on his site at Revora, unless the account transfer changed it or knocked it offline.

I've been using Vista x64 for ages now and tbh I never had any trouble playing any of the games I used to play before I had vista. TS has always worked fine on Vista and I didn't even need to use compatibility mode...
Only TD and RA1 needed compatibility mode to be set to Windows 95 to run. I've always had User Account Control turned off btw (considering all it really does is protect your computer against yourself).

I agree...............

All I had to do is run it as admin and no problems. Vista does suck, but the reason I say that is because my laptop came with 512mg of ram i had to boost it to atleast 1 to have it run better, but I choose to get 2 gigs, other than that vista was fine. i am not so sure why people keep saying vista sucks. As for Win 7 i have no problems running The 1st Decade disc on my new computer. I automatically ran as admin just to be safe.

Because Crevio's quote wasn't fully read. Take your Vista chat elsewhere.

Besides, this is just a copy and paste from Revora. Nothing that Defailment did on his own research.

do you really need a link to right click nd run as administer? at most you need to do compatibility or secruity...

Well you have to understand, as much as we hate to believe it, there are still people out there that have a hard time running a task as simple as that. So in one way or another this is a useful link.

People need security. I will not doubt that at all.

And tbh, I don't see why people have issues in Vista. I don't run anything in compatibility or as admin half the time and it works just fine. Hell, I'd be amazed if I use the entire compatibility mode at all.

some are luckier then others... I gone through 3 different computers with windows vista and they are all different. Windows vista ultimate did not seem to have to run much as administer i noticed...

I imagine you don't have really need to run as admin, just give the users group full permissions over the RA2 directory and maybe the RA2 reg keys and it should all work fine under restricted user privleages. People need to learn how NTFS permissions work and a lot of "compatibility" problems could easily be solved.

There is no difference between the default UAC prompts that I know of between the vista versions, so running home basic or ultimate or whatever should have no effect on how often it prompts you.
