Selecting new models
Subject description: Cant select new model even though it has an obbox :S
Hi, im fairly new to modding with new 3d models, but ive made two new building that appear fine in game (lacking decent textures) but neither of them are selectable. They are both just copies of the nod refinery and power plant renamed and given new models, so why cant I select them? I have given them both a bounding box (named OBBox), as i understood that this was used in selection. Can anyone tell me why I cant select the new buildings?
Btw: They are destroyable by force firing and also cant be moved onto/into QUICK_EDIT

Need more information. The bounding box is geometry has you know, that is typically see through in Max for convenience.
When it comes to exporting (for a building), the bounding box does not need to be hierarchically linked to anything, it is exported with both export transform & export geometry boxes checked, in the geometry field it is of course an OBBOX, and finally you tick the 'hide' option.
If you're doing all this then I'd need more information. QUICK_EDIT
There is a tag in the building's xml, 'SELECTABLE', in the KindOf= attribute. It seems like you're familiar with modding enough to have not looked over this but it wasn't mentioned in your post and I know that if it isn't included the building is not selectable. _________________ "Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, its time to pause and reflect."
