Five Czech designers presented a new image of electric power distribution poles. Their vision of the future utility poles is based on making the Czech landscape more interesting, not disturbing it.

I found them interesting although that model inspired by barbed wire is kinda spiky... #Robot

Bah, only Tesla knew how to distribute electricity without poles/wires of any kind.

Odd, above ground lines are kinda dying off in my neck of the world. Most urban lines are underground anymore in places like Colorado Springs and Denver, and most of the above ground ones are just connector lines between rural areas.

He actually invented the method of distributing power over long distances like this. Also, if you own an electric toothbrush you've probably been using wireless power already.

That's what I meant. Yep, I realize my mistake now.

Tesla also suggested to use electricity generated from sun wind, but nobody is about to use it. Confused

It's all about money, they wrote it's 17-times more expensive to move it underground instead of having those lines above.

Also most of these imaginary future power lines are supposed to connect towns and villages and it's kinda problematic to lead them across water, fields or forrests under ground. Typical Czech village has problems to fund mere sewerage... Urban areas are already practically without electric lines above ground, only numbers of above ground ADSL cables are growing (since it's price has dropped to price of the wi-fi, but still we have expensive internet).
