I was gonna save this for a single player mission.. but I pretty much dropped all cnc projects for now. who's really interested anyways right ?

An infamous CV of the Imperial Japanese Navy ages ago.. Soryu. comes with an icon and a plane.

Notes: for you perfectionists... I realize that the exhaust is on the wrong side if you want to be technical and the flight deck isn't the same, but that's just the way it turned out. Wink

Oh wow, with a bit of editing I can use that in D-day Very Happy

Edit: A quick reference check tho shows lots of errors that would require redoing half the vxl to make it accurate :/

Didn't see that cameo, looks alright..abit too dark imo :S

oh, and when I looked at the voxel again..I felt like the ship could fly XD

I'm not above using public assets I just have high standards... Which this comes very close to but fails as the main superstructure & tower is inaccurate as well as the exhaust & deck as DM mentioned (see here for ref pics).

It is a very good voxel tho & I don't want to sound all negative, it just not accurate enough for my perfectionism XD.

hehe, I see the slight differences. The big fins on the voxel look much cooler than the real thing.

normals are bad, I get an error when trying to use an 5.6 with smooth selected so this was the best I could do. I pm'd banshee about it a while back.. he never responded.

remap on the Japanese flag looks odd, and isn't the military flag different to the normal one, with spokes from the centre?

it dosent fit it size, it looks like a smaller ship that has been resized imo. however some scalling down would make it rly nice!

Yes it would look better if it was just red IMO. The "military flag" was never used as a large identification marking BTW.

BTW, if you mean the Rising sun symbol Mig... yes it was displayed on flight decks of a few IJN carriers.
