This thread will outline some basic rules we ask everybody to stick by when posting messages. They are to help you and all other viewers have a pleasant and informative visit and to avoid unpleasant situations. In light of recent events I reposted this topic with a few small alterations. As always, questions are best answered through PMs.
- Thread Revival is allowed, no matter the post date of the last reply, as long as the post follows the other rules.
- Spam posts and threads are not tolerated in the TO forums, but generally we're not very strict and give quite a bit of leeway as to what constitutes an actual spam or chit-chat message. Outright spam posts take up space and cause a mess, so they will be handled accordingly.
- Replies must all be constructive and helpful to the team or other visitors. In the future all posters who do not abide by these rules, be they TO staff or visitors, shall have their posts altered or removed immediately.
- Feedback on material the team has produced is crucial and we greatly appreciate any input and you can give us, positive or negative. Contrary to what some people believe, negative feedback is taken very seriously. However, negative feedback is not equal to bashing people and/or their work. If feedback is accompanied by insults or if the post has a very harsh or negative tone it may be moderated accordingly (i.e. have its message altered or deleted altogether).
- Complaints and problems will be dealt with by staff members. If you have any issues or problems with something or someone related to TO or its forum, please PM a member and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Important: Making topics for the sole purpose of complaining about a single person's behaviour will no longer be tolerated, use private messaging instead.
- Action taken by a moderator will not be used to censor people's opinions. In case of moderator intervention a note of some kind will be left, summarizing the nature of the action.
- Common sense is very important when dealing with other people just like anywhere else. TO, like every other project on this forum, is a fan made project we work on in our spare time, it's not a full-time job. We are fans of C&C just like everybody else in here. TO tries to set a fair level of presentation and standard for users in these forums.
Thank you for reading this and we hope you enjoy your stay!
