Well I actually noticed this along time ago(just got back to mapping). When you open either the Vehicles or Buildings menu in FinalSun some of the vehicles(most civilian cars) and buildings are not shown on the menu. But sometimes when I exit(quit or alt-tab) out of FinalSun and then return to my map after some testing and open up the above mentioned menus 'bam' there they are. This is really weird...I mean I have placed this civilian building on my map, but I'm unable to find it from the Buildings-->Other menu again and I'm sure it was there. If this seems confusing please tell me and I'll try to be more accurate or explain in more detail. Didn't find anything with the search function about this problem either.

Also I downloaded the Temperate.ini fix which should fix the random tree placer, but it still doesn't work.

yes please give more details.

Does it happen on all maps? Or just the one you are working on in particular?

The only thing I've heard of and experienced, that fits this, is how the buildings like the Port-o-shack, Leary Traveler Inn, Subterranean Dwelling, and that kind of building typically don't appear in the side menu on snow maps a lot of the time.
For me they never appear unless i load the map for a second time after having just loaded it.
But if you're missing vehicles and it's on temperate AND snow maps then this is another problem that may or may not be caused by the same thing.

As for the temperate.ini tree fix....if you downloaded from the first link in the mapping tools thing that Aro posted then I believe it is still linking to the TI Temperate.ini from awhile ago and thus it doesn't fix the tree problem nor the crystal and destroyable cliff thing in marble madness. Though i do believe that just a bit further down in that topic Aro found and posted the ones that have the fix and AREN'T from TI. I believe....

Fixed that link, thanks for pointing it out. I highly doubt that, that particular Temperat.ini version was the issue however seeming as it only effects terrain and nothing else.

Oh yeah, does anyone know an actual fix for the CA00## buildings not always appearing on the side menu when making a map on the snow theater? It's really annoying, you know...

Well thanks Ixith for "revealing" how fix this missing buildings/vehicles, yes it was snow theater map and the building was called Rade's Roadhouse. Just wondering why this happens(doesn't really matter) Smile and thanks to Aro for fixing the link.....random tree placer working just fine Smile

Thanks for the help. This has really been bugging me for along time.
