That's not entirely correct.

Basically, you can enter anything you want into Image=, as long as there's a corresponding shp somewhere and an entry in the art[md].ini.

For example, this would work as well:

terdro.shp in ecache mix

art.ini section:
[TDRONE]
Image=TERDRO
(...)

rules.ini:
[TERROR]
Image=TDRONE
(...)

of course it's easier to just use tdrone.shp, [TDRONE] in art.ini and [TDRONE] in rules.ini, that way you don't need the Image= tag at all (the game defaults to the section name if no Image= is specified)

Ah ok, seems my memory wasn't accurate on this one.

Although I'm rather sure it works for buildings and voxels as well.

when i looked at the [BFRT] entry in artmd.ini,it had image=sref,how did that happen in a fresh new art.ini?.

i mean that it's obvious,isnt it?.

That exists left and right in the unmodified art file. It's plainly obvious that Image doesn't work, with the exception of animations only.
