I have discovered that the RA2YR [SPY] used to have a CreateSound... Westwood never bothered to add it in, or have cancelled it. I don't know if anyone else found this out, if they did, I didn't see.

Just add CreateSound=SpyCreated to initialize this, but it is best to also change Volume=80 instead of 45 or else it is hard to hear it. The spy will say "Ready to infiltrate" when it is created.

Obviously they removed it so the enemy isn't warned that you've build a spy.

It's like saying "i have an apc full of engineers and send him now to your base"

it removes strategy from the game anyways. Makes it so people can prepare for it... sorta like how kirovs rarley work out since people just spam anti air stuff once they hear their charming chant.

I dont know who's bright idea it was to have the game announce to the enemy certain types of infantry and vehicles your making, but it was a @$$nine decision. Why would anyone want the enemy to know what they are making?

The sound is supposed to make it so the game is more fun think about playing it without sound it would suck!!!!

That is quite true, but I am kinda getting sick of hearing "Let's rock and roll!" over and over and over on the frickin battlefield...

just because your units dont yell outloud they exist, doesnt mean the game wont have sound at all. How would you bring up that based on us bitching about units yelling outloud hotrods20?


Though all the same. The only thing I think should be mentioned is something that can handle itself anyways like Epic units from kanes wrath, thats worth warning about. Though something like kirovs would reveal the other players strategy which ruins it for the player. Think of it this way, if you and another person were about to play rock paper sizors and the guy your playing yells "ROOOCK!!!!!!"... what do you think your going todo and in result, who do you think is going to win?

But I'm just saying if there wasn't unit speaking it would kind of boring and sometimes the yelling helps but I mostly use it to trick up others build 100 conscripts while secretly building a couple kirov it tricks people up.
