C&C: Devastation
Subject description: Devastation is imminent.
Seven factions. Two wars. One battlefield. Devastation is imminent...
There isn't really a story in my mod (though I may make one if I decide to).
The mod will feature 7 new factions, having three of them being the Allied Nations, the Soviet Union and The Legion (Yuri, obviously). The other four factions are:
-Empire of the Rising Sun (my own version, making them less hi teched than in RA3)
-Orion Corps (an Allied owned army from the future, created to fight the Shadow League. I'm gonna use ronco's "Big Voxel Pack" for their vehicles so credit goes to him )
- Wing of Freedom (a freedom fighters group; yup, you may want to refer this faction as an reincarnation of the League of Saviors from my old dead mod. No fancy paintjobs this time round )
-Shadow League (a hi teched terrorist organization from the same timeline as the Orion Corps. They only want world domination, and no, they are not like Nod in anyway other than being terrorists and hi teched :3)
For balancing, I won't be adding too much stuff to the Allies, Soviets and Yuri. Just one or two new stuff should be enough (though Yuri needs a navy and I know just how to balance that ). The new factions will have at least the same number of units and structures as the original three (though they may have one or two stuff more...).
Obviously, I can't make this mod alone. I need:
-a SHPer (I've recently PM'd Dny about this but he haven't replied yet...)
-a 3D Modeler
-a secondary INI coder
-an AI coder
-a Map maker (maybe)
If anyone can help me out with the tasks above, I'd be delighted
I'm currently working on the Empire's vehicles. So here are the current vehicles (no screenie of Hover Miner though):
Kabuto Combat Tank
MBT; is slightly effective against infantry compared to other MBTs (though it is still very weak against them). Armed with a 75mm Autoloaded Photon Cannon.
Jet Tengu/Mecha Tengu
Anti-air in jet mode, anti-infantry in robot mode. Pretty fragile in both modes though. Also ineffective against heavy vehicles and structures. Armed with a Duel Photon Heavy Machinegun.
Sudden Transport
Stealth APC. Transports 5 passengers at speed. Lightly armored and unarmed. Detectable with the use of sensors.
Nano Repair Unit (N.R.U)
Repair unit. Uses a Nano Generator to direct repair nanobots to a damaged vehicle in the form of a light beam. Very useful with your tank squads.
Kaiser Cannon
Laser-based artillery. Effective against infantry, structures and light vehicles. Main drawbacks are slow speed, poor armor and vulnerability to anti-surface aircrafts. Quiet costly too.

hmmm...seems like you got a lot of sparetime
i would suggest you to try to "rip" for japan stuff from ra3 (buildings that is), else you need to learn some 3d to do the buildings.
just get you some 3d software and try first some stuff with primitive objekts like cylinders and blocks...
also there a lot of tutorials out ther in the interwebs

Update #1
Just finished making the Empire's most powerful ground unit, the King Oni. I'm only left with making their MCV and all of their ground units are done I'm still thinking of a mod name btw :3
Other remaining units are:
Infantry: 8 (not a single infantry made yet. Crap! I need a SHPer, pronto!!)
Aircraft: 1
Naval: 4
Anyways, info of the King Oni:
King Oni
Advanced ground assault walker of the Empire. Armed with two medium assault laser cannons that are effective against most ground units. It is also pretty well-armored as well, but not as tough as the Apocalypse. Drawbacks are slow speed, expensive price tag and vulnerability to anti-surface aircraft.
A small problem: how do you set the FireFLH such that the two bursts of lasers the King Oni fires come out from it's two laser cannons (arms)? _________________ The future belongs to The Forgotten! QUICK_EDIT
I didn't want it to look as tough as the RA3 King Oni. Think of this version as a "Type 1" model.

Hmm, the name. Whats a more suitable name for a Japanese laser artillery (I don't want it to be called "Wave-Force blah blah blah" as the Empire in my mod are still researching on the technology. Only the hero unit has the wave-force technology)?

ps. will Japanese faction in your mod base from mecha anime?
Even if they're Japanese, I won't base them on mecha anime They only have two mechas (Mecha Tengu and King Oni) and two transformers (Jet/Mecha Tengu and a gunship/sub transformer)

Finally, all of their ground units are done I'm only left with:
- 1 aircraft
- 5 naval (I forgot to consider the aircraft's second form which is an AA sub)
- 7 infantry (was 8 but the engineer graphic is already available)
- shitloads of structures (I need a 3D modeler and SHPer, pronto! >____>)

Even though you're not going for the exact RA3 king oni, try to make it look a little tougher... it still is a heavy walker, isn't it? It's so different, that making it a little bigger and heavier wouldn't make it look too much like the RA3 one.
For the FLH, do it very similar to the soviet apoc. look at it's FLH, and just widen the barrel, adn rise the animation up to where the barrels are. Then set the weapon's burst= to 2, and halve the current damage and you're good.
An FLH like this will get you started on the right track:

Alright! All but one vehicle (amphibious transport) are done. All I need to do now is some voxel improvements, fix the Umi/Fujin Saber transformation problem and some balancing (I still think the Shogun which delivers 91x3 damage and has a ROF=150 is still OP'd).
Still on the to do-list for the Empire:
- 1 vehicle
- infantries (help please?)
- structures (help please?)
- AI coding
Anyways, the Imperial Japanese Navy:
Yari Mini Sub
The main scout unit. Fast and agile, it can quickly reveal most of the sea and detect other subs with it's large sensor sight. It fires single mini photon torpedoes when attacking. Drawbacks are poor armor and the need to surface before firing, revealing itself to the enemy.
Umi Saber/ Fujin Saber
This mini sub takes the role of AA and AG support. It fires photon missiles that are pretty effective against air and ground armored targets. Take note that it can only attack air units in sub mode and surface units in VTOL mode.
Naginata Cruiser
Main assault ship. Fires two heavy photon torpedoes that can inflict a good amount of damage to other ships. Being only capable of combating other naval units, it must rely on Fujin Sabers and/or Shogun Battleships for support against land-borne targets.
Shogun Battleship
The most powerful vessel in the imperial navy, its triple photon cannon can be fired from long range and strike most surface targets with devastating effect. This ship must not be sent alone as it is highly vulnerable to anti-surface fire and subs. It is also slow and fires slowly, with its cannon unable to fire at anything too close to the ship.

Okay, since my mod ain't getting much attention, I'll just posted an update here. Please note that some info over at moddb is obsolete. Some changes and cuts will be made (such as dumping the M.A.D Tank, replacing the Flanker, etc) The mod is still using Npatch though.
Anyways, new stuff for The Legion:
Units
Scourge Robo Disc
Scout unit, but also a very effective infantry killer and aircraft interceptor. Won't last long against AA though.
Devourer Cannon
Toxin-based light support artillery. Kills infantries easily and causes decent damage against vehicles and structures. Shells causes toxic contamination in a small area which can damage vehicles and infantries killed by the shells (not the toxic contamination) will release poisonous gas.

Mind Shatterer
Advance anti-infantry vehicle. Kills groups of infantry with powerful mindwaves (similar to Yuri Prime's). Causes little damage against vehicles and cannot attack structures.

Kraken Attack Sub
Anti-ship submersible. Uses Boomer torpedoes against other vessels.

Gattling Boat
Anti-air warship/light gunboat. Uses gattling cannons to shed aircrafts and can also attack land-borne targets. Like the Gattling Cannon/Tank, the longer it's guns are allowed to spin, the stronger they get.

Boomer Missile Sub
Sea-based cruise missile platform. No longer an attack sub (role is taken over by the Kraken). Fires a pair of long range cruise missiles against land targets or water-bound structures. Cannot be grabbed by Giant Squids.

Magnetic Tower
Anti-tank base defense. Rips vehicles apart with the use of a magnetic beam.

Need an idea...
I'm going to give each factions's MBT a special ability/feature. These are the ideas:
Guardian Tank (Allied Nations): able to hold one infantry inside it. The infantry can fire out from it.
Elephant Tank (Soviet Union): immune to nuclear radiations and toxic contamination.
Hades Tank (The Legion): moves underground over long distances and when crossing water bodies.
Kabuto Tank (Empire of Japan): can transform into a static artillery emplacement which grants a range increase.
Crusader Tank (Orion Corps): no idea :/
Panther Tank (Wing of Freedom): upgrades through veterancy. Default 100mm --> 105mm --> dual 105mm.
Hunter (Shadow League): uses hover propulsion.

I have not done modding in awhile but if they are high tech faction is it possible to make a secondary weapon that spawns a unit?
