Since the actual one that the beta has is only a square with the early "4" design...I decided to make my own little icon:

You can download it here...The icons has sizes 16x16 up to 256x256, and has XP, true colors and 256 color versions:

NOTE: The original image doesn't look as great as the icon, as it isn't resized.

Just looks like a cut out GDI and Nod logo given a simple gradient effect and some very sharp bevel. I'm sorry, not really a fan. You should give them some proper textures and avoid using that much bevel on something, and of course avoid poorly cutting images, it's better to work from a vector.

Personally, Aro, I disagree, this may be simple but it isn't bad at all. Icons can't be a master work of art, they aren't meant to be, but I assume it is better than the beta icon.

I never said it had to be a "work of art", I'm just giving him suggestions for improvement cause frankly anybody with photoshop can recreate this easily. Icons can be either small or large and at either size they can have potential to look good (see attached image), plus at a smaller size Alex's icon will probably look pixelated due-to the super sharp bevel.

the fact the Nod logo shares the GDI logo's blue glow is also pretty weird.
