Well, I don't know how many of you regularly stop by C&C Central, or stop by at all for that matter, but quite a few changes have been made.

the url for cnc-central is now http://www.cnc-central.net

New layout has been applied, a banner cometition is under way, so all graphics artist should take a shot at seeing the banner they made at the top of C&C Central.

New content is here to stay, with more on the way (that kinda rhymed) Heres a list of some new stuff:

  • A new layout
  • New site address - www.cnc-central.net
  • Over 100+ downloads
  • Interviews (one from TFH which is well worth checking out)
  • New images - screenshots, wallpaper, renders, concept art, and more
  • A Picture of the week
  • C&C random quote (you can submit your favorites here)
  • The BIG banner competition
  • Everyday news

But I can't tell you what C&C Central Accelerated is, You have to see it for yourself... www.cnc-central.net

Lookin' Good! Cool

So Detail bought you a domain? Very Happy

I see that http://central.origin-network.net forwards to it. Smile

So you decided not to go for the special table backgrounds?

I'd be interested to know how links like "http://www.cnc-central.net/page.php?file=/ra2/ra2tut" work.

that would take some time for me to explain, but i'm rather busy checking every link, changing css's and promoting write now, maby if I have some time one day soon, I'll explain it over msn

central.origin-network.net forwards it yes, cuz I have so many dammed lazy affiliates, TUMSUN still hasn't changed the link from the angelfire site... or at least last I saw.

what do you mean by special table background?

I understand about lazy affiliates and that you're busy and don't mind waiting. Smile

I'm referring to the backgrounds for the TD and RA1 tables on the preview page you showed me.

Your avatar seems to not be working.

Why is the site copyrighted to origin...... i thought it was YOUR site not Detail's

Quote:
Content © Origin Network 2003, 2004.

Acording to that anything on http://www.cnc-central.net/ is Origin Network's property and not yours (thus if you moved from Origin technicaly you couldn't take the site with you without permission, due to copyright laws)

As I understand it, Detail, in addition to hosting C&C Central, designed the new template, which isn't that different from the one the_kid was using when he first moved to Origin, and he bought the domain for C&C Central.

It definitely seems to me that the_kid has done most of the work on it.

yeah, well Detail made the nice layout for me, then I converted all of the pages... but at the same time, he is the one paying for everything, and CnC Central is still part of ORI, just now I have my own domain...

I've had cnc central for the last 4 years, and during that time I've been hosted by hompage.aol.com , geocities (twice), angelfire, lycos (tripod), and now ori. It took me a while to get the hang of things...

Actually I made about 3 posts regarding tsr, and another regarding it killing TUMSUMs bandwidth. Unfortunately, they all seemed to get lost in the move to the domain... I'll place another when TUMSUN is back online...

I think I've gone interview craz-ay.... I've done 4 in one week, I'd like to interview PPM (probably banshee, I've interviewed sk8erkid for a school project before) when the TDL release is complete. Which reminds me, I'll be leaving school at 2:15 tomarrow, I've got an extra 3 hours to toy with (football is my only shot at college) I'll get to work on the TDL engineer...

He made a layout, that is not CONTENCE. if he is hosting it or not, the copyright for contence should stay with YOU, Detail should b able to have his little line about the layout but the contence was made by you.

You made the site what it is, you should get the copyright, without you the site wouldn't exist.

Its a bloody cheak him puting the copyright of the contence to himself.

Confused

I copy/paste that to the bottom of every network layout. It's a lot more legaly safe than someone putting an online nickname with a link to an e-mail address.

the_kid is welcome to change it as he feel. If the sites been going 4 years it should say "Original content © 2000-2004 Mike Hedden" and should link to a copyright information page with all the rules of use.

actually, I think I would put the name Michael Hedden, cuz it sounds a bit more professional... hehe, It will stay as it is for now, I don't really mind, I'm part of ori, and I run the site. and it is Detail though ori that has made it possible for me to run the site in the first place.

"Original content © 2000-2004 Mike Hedden"

Wouldn't it b "Content © 2000-2004 Mike Hedden" since its still his site and contence (Layouts arn't contence)

I should start a webmasters rights group Wink "POWER TO THE WEBMASTERS!!!"
