I cant belive it. I hate a CnC4 game conseption. but I will have to buy a copy just to watch cinematics _________________ Gangster is a Project Perfect Wuj (c)Aro QUICK_EDIT
You know, the scorn I had with EA all these years was because I though I could make cnc better than they (as in EA) could, partly because they bought into the cnc franchise but also because I was a long term player and fan of the "Original cncs"
Personally I don't care about all this anymore. Firstly EA owns the franchise so they are entitled to make cnc how ever they want and if we dont like it, then tough luck because we own squat of the franchise. Even though this now looks awesome and I cant wait to play it.
Also I have spent too much time working with an inferior engine eg RA2 expecting something worthwhile at the end of the production line but really, realistically no one cares about TS or RA2 modding anymore, really sure fans are in the hundreds but not the thousands.
Hey the truth hurts and this is the honest gut truth I have realised. We can be clouded by our little community working on our TS and RA2 mods but really the world is leaving us behind. Even though yes our little community rocks:P
I think I am breaking up, yes breaking up with my love affair for command and conquer:P for good:P I'm going to do something I still enjoy but is also recognisable/usable in a portfolio to apply for a job in the near future.Something relevant in todays game market, something that
induces win and fun that you just want to drop what your doing and play it.
Also the unreal tournament engine 3 is free, but RA2's engine is not. EA are even leasing the UT3 engine and have even made mirrors edge off of it, and this is something that is free for anyone to download and use. That in itself is an ultimate modding tool to have, your own industry standard game engine at your finger tips, where your imagination is your only limitation and there is nothing like hardcoded restrictions. Yes the learning curve is hard but really the results for persuing something like this are indeed more rewarding than slaving away at a small mod for an inferior game.
I believe my point has been made and my ranting has been done:P QUICK_EDIT
Wasn't it always like that? A single tower with three thick columns (although AFAIK they were fused from the top and the bottom in TW, so that there was kind of a hole in the middle. The C&C4 one is 3 seperate columns). _________________
I ignored and didn't read any of the above posts, but I loathe the way Kane appears more humane the more he makes appearances in games.
Am I the only one who thinks C&C4 indeed appears more and more like a musical? :p
Not really, I'm glad the composer didn't go down the road of CNC3's music. C&C3 music was horrible. C&C4 music though...is ztyping epic :3 _________________ Please, I DON'T read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT
Nod C&C4 music is. GDI music gets annoying after some time imo.
And I like the fact that Kane stated he spent thousands of years trapped blah, blah. It finally confirms something, I mean - how long can you keep being mysterious?
Still, I'm distanced to the storyline even after seeing this trailer. I'm afraid that the epic conclusion will just not do. Even though they are starting to explain things, I'm afraid to know the "final answer".
Edit: Fixed, thanks Crimsonum _________________ mentalomega.com Last edited by Speeder on Sun Feb 21, 2010 10:30 pm; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT
whoa now i thought this couldn't get creepy and it just did EA know how to add the chilling factor in their FMV's. I'm not sure i'll be the same after this game comes out. _________________ Link to a document to see what mods i have and/or working on or working with
