Well if thousands of people have downloaded it just fine, then he problem is your end, be is being corrupted when your downloading it or that there is something up with your extractor application.

right click on the zip file and choose openwith> WinRar, it will show all files in the zip. Then try to extract only the movies01.mix if it's a stand alone file.. If it dosent work then it's a corrupted file.

if all this isn't going to help check your ram with memtest.

i had a similar problem a while ago with bad ram i had on my motherboard, it caused extraction errors and also couldn't install .cab files properly via install shield.

http://www.memtest.org/

let the test run a few hours, if there is ANY problem you should check your ram, if it sits correctly in the sockets or if you have to pull a stick out and juggle until you found the bad ram stick.
better do it n now, cause if there really IS bad ram it can cause serious problems wich won't get less.

If it's just this one file, I seriously doubt this is a RAM related error. In fact, that's a little far fetched to be the error since there are no major issues elsewhere.

I'm running TS and Generals on a PIII CuMine with a 733 MHz processor and 256Mb SDRAM - old should not be a problem!

Playing would not be an issue, but it's unpacking where it goes wrong here, Askhati.
With 192 MB RAM you're likely to use your pagefile for unpacking, which may cause problems in some circumstances, and I bet your RAM is older than 5 years. A Memtest, like blubb recommends, would be a good thing here, just to be sure your RAM is functioning. You already tried two different programs for unzipping, so that's not a solution. How about you try downloading and unzipping it on another computer? You can always copy the unzipped files to your first computer.

PS. My last memtest gave +200,000 bad sectors Very Happy Blowing up your RAM isn't fun.

Oh, right... 192Mb < 256Mb... *facepalm*

na unpacking is a ram eater and more common than you might think that errors like this are ram related.

Quick couple ofquestions for you Blubb, I went to the site to get the Ram tester, There are like 3 different files for the newest version, ones an iso file, another a source file, and another a binary file. Do I need all 3 of these? or just the iso file? I'm confused here, "dont know much about binary or source files" What files do I burn to a disk?

This is what I put on a disk, but dosent boot at start up.

But it's really not. It's CPU and disk heavy, not RAM so much.
