Hey all,
Me and the team ATS have finished are almost fully working tiberian sun server..
By fully working i mean we need a clan creation command which stores clan to database.

And ladder is linked to xwis!

Unless we can speed up time by 8 day's and finish the remake server i'm doing from scratch. Which has built in ladder which works. And clan mysql script built in which displays info on php (for creation deletion!)

Want to know how you connect step by step?

 
Connect using ip tool!

Step [1]: Go to http://www.xwis.net/downloads/XWISC.exe
On the top line delete the ip for example this is two lines. Here is something what it looks like.

203.23.23.23 line [1]
203.23.24.25 line[2]

On line [1] Delete the ip address and type in this ip address

208.53.169.203

Then click the button [SET]
To see if the server is offline or if you have set the correct the ip click the button [TEST]
Then press ok on the [TEST] dialog.
It should show something like this.

server: 208.53.169.203
nick: sys
:fast.newyorkshosting.com 421  :Unrecognized command "cvers" (before login)
:fast.newyorkshosting.com 421 sys :Unrecognized command "apgar" (before login)
:fast.newyorkshosting.com 421 sys :Unrecognized command "serial" (before login)
:fast.newyorkshosting.com 461 sys :Too few arguments to USER
:fast.newyorkshosting.com 461 sys :Too few arguments to PRIVMSG

If that is what yours looks like (Not the nickname part) Then the server has been initialized correctly!
Now launch tiberian sun!
If you do not get the above text or xwisc.exe does not run for you here is how to manually set the ip!

Step[2] Run notepad.exe

And go to this directory: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
If in the text document it show's

212.162.52.233 irc.westwood.com
212.162.52.233 servserv.westwood.com

Replace 212.162.52.233 with the following ip
208.53.169.203

So now the document should look like
208.53.169.203 irc.westwood.com
208.53.169.203 servserv.westwood.com

Next click on file,Save
Exit the notepad document and run tiberian sun and you should be able to logon too the TOServer USA Succesfully!

Awesome, glad you posted here at PPM SyS.

The server seems really fast, and would be awesome for testing mods or just playing against other members, without the lagyness of XWIS Wink

That's actually very good. Is there such a server planned for RA2? Would be nice to get all the Vista users playing because they can't use Hamachi.

UPDATE:

No longer using xwis ladder system!!
Using the complete original westwood/ea ladder system!!

SO if you remember your old nickname and password and you see it on the ladder list LOGIN has you left off from Westwood!

*THis means u can carry on your ranked account which you used on the original westwood servers!

run Xwisc_b.exe

fill in like screenshot

press set

go ingame, internet, choose ATS server, connect

Server renamed to [AWOS] Alternative westwood online server's! www.cnc-comm.com Sign up and enjoy the fun with the user's! on the community forum under category awos there is now a section for users to post game time's there on and how long for.. so you can your community forum friend's can setup a time in there time region to game!

I followed the directions and have been able to log into the server. I manually edited the IP addresses into "hosts."
However, with or without the XWIS Client running, I cannot get Tiberian Sun to recognize the server.
The original Westwood servers (US, Pacific, EURO, and UK) come up. What am I doing wrong?
