TS Crashes after about 20 minutes every time.

I want to play online, but the game always crashes after around 20 minutes. Same in skirmish.

Wat do?

I have a fresh install with no mods, downloaded from official EA site.

some more information please
Does it give an IE, freeze or completely crashes the PC?
If it gives an IE, post the except.txt in this topic. (you can find the file in your game folder)

Do you had the problem before or just recently? Do you changed anything in the past (like installed new driver)?

It just freezes every time, I had to Ctrl+Alt+Del it and end task.

Do you use the ddraw.dll? If yes, this is known to cause random freezes in rare occasions.

Other than that i fear there isn't much you/we can do as it's much harder to find the reason for freezes than for IEs.

Do you had this problem before or does it occur just recently?
If it started to happen just recently, you should backtrack what changes you've done in the past (installed new driver; changed hardware etc).

What OS are you using? Give some more info about your hardware, we can't know what causes your problem if you just go and say "Hey, I have a problem, fix it for me plz".

I had this problem once before,Though I never found what was causing it The only solution I could come up with and did fix it was to reinstall TS.

I have the ddraw.dll but if I take it out the game runs slow as ztype.

ah, yes, you got a too new comp for TS xD
Dunno what you could try, maybe changing the gclock(?).shp, or whatever

Which service pack do you use?
Which XP version do you use (home, professional)?
Do you have admin or only user rights?
Do you changed anything in the past? (asked before but still no anwser)
What kind of hardware do you have? (laptop with onboard GraCa or whatever)

Try setting the affinity of TS process in the task manager to only 1 cpu,maybe.

edit: it's in the task manager,in the list of process,right click and set affinity.
It used to fix a lot of non-working apps and game for me,but later I figured it was because I had an outdated bios.
If it can prevent crashing,it's good,but there can probably a better fix,it is to make things works until you find something better (assuming it's working in the first place)

Ok I cant find a way to set it permanently, but it seems to work. I haven't had the game crash on me yet when doing it manually.
