A year or two ago, somebody organized the rules and rulesmd ini files...

And made them a lot easier to work with.

I don't remember who did this, or when, but if anyone has the organized rules, I'd love a copy. Smile

I have made one for TS for personal use. I think I could make one for RA2/YR too.

EDIT: Is it just me, or is the rules.ini you posted a link to everything but organized?

That's not it - one person had organized rules AND rulesmd.

I'm more interested in rulesmd, but thankyou.

Well if I dedicated the time, I could as well - but why reinvent the wheel? Hopefully a copy of the work somebody already made exists out there.

Last time I used organized rules.ini made by someone else, a logic was broken in the game. I never found the solution, so I rather make ones myself.

Well if you'd be willing to make me an organized rulesmd, I'd be greatly appreciative. Smile

Seems like rulesmd.ini is quite organized from the get-go? Extracting it out of ra2md.mix --> localmd.mix looks organized well enough. I don't know what more you would need.

I don't think the original rules are organized, but thats my opinion. I moved all the civialian items to the bottom of the inf list and vehicle lists. So I organized them to my liking, but I don't have any of the original infantry, ships, tanks or buildings.

I think its orginized depending on what your looking for and what you feel orginized means. Rulesmd.ini seems to have everything in good order, however i still dont like all the semi colons. it be nice to have a program that deletes anything pass ; on the same line.

I love all the notes. They help explain a lot of things, and a bit of history of the game development. It provides a lot of insight into how westwood worked.

I also use them to make notes to myself when I work.

i have, but don't use the ini editor and the checker, i believe with 1 of them you can delete the comments.

It only deletes whitespace and commented lines, and nothing else.

It was the INI Checker that takes away the comments BTW.
