Spinng jumpjets..!?
I'm getting problems with crashing jumpjets, sometimes after being shot down they will fall to the ground & not explode but then constantly spin on the ground. They have no health & can't be targeted but will still attack any nearby units & they'll stay like this until the game ends.
The basic jumpjet code is pretty much the same as the nighthawk just with more speed etc. So any thoughts...? _________________
A wrong JumpJetClimb and JumpjetCrash setting can cause this afaik.
Check if JumpjetCrash is higher than JumpjetClimb.
A JumpjetCrash value of less than 12 and the unit also can't crash on buildings, thus check if your values are high enough to allow the unit to crash at all. _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings
JumpjetCrash is 20 on all of the units, JumpjetClimb ranges from 18 to 30.
Come to think of it only the units that have a higher Climb then Crash seam to be doing this. I'll go fiddle with it a bit & see what happens. _________________

Sorry Dubzac, but that is an untrue statement. Jumpjets crash just fine without a DeathWeapon by using Crashable=yes And Aircraft dont need it either. _________________

Jumpjets & aircraft use their primary (or secondary if they have one) weapon as their DeathWeapon & if they don't have a weapon then they'll use the one specified in the [CombatDamage] section instead. _________________

I have the same problem for one of my units. Its bizarre, too, because only that one unit does it, while there are 10 VTOL/heli-types in the mod.
I don't think its related to crash speed, because I have another unit with the same crash speed, but it crashes perfectly EVERY time. _________________ YR modder/artist, DOOM mapper, aka evanb90

I'm fining it hard to debug this as it's very random. I can play several games in a row without problem & then others times it will happen several times in one game :/ _________________

Additional new features.
One cause was SelfHealing=yes on air units. Another was way to slow crash speeds. (I wanted to more replicate the helicopter crash style of Call of Duty Modern Warfare) QUICK_EDIT
Could it possibly be just another one of those Random bugs NPatch has? I've only noticed this while using NPatch, without it it's never happened. _________________

that crashable=yes only work on Valina RA2 and YR 1.01 then it would need a secondary weapon for air unit with death explosion if this is Npatch some error with this code ends in IE same with Rock patch so no brother i never lie

Eh... o.0 I use NPAE & have a mix of aircraft & jumpjet both with & without weapons, but none have deathweapon & I've never got an IE because of it. _________________

I think I may have found a potential cause.
When comparing the unit that does it to other units that don't have the problem, I noticed that every one of them (that wasn't a transport helicopter) had "DeployToLand". I have since put that tag on the problem unit, and have yet to see them crash as described in this thread. _________________ YR modder/artist, DOOM mapper, aka evanb90

maybe its not death, that is the problem, perhaps another section of code
miggy you got me stumped!. NPAE crashable works will but not other version under v11 and RP1.08se and below work well so you can't blame exehack has to be other fault!
