Subject description: i heard from revora that these structures are from a chineese mod thats free source.. any help?

I could definitly use them for my Jihad faction. It is a lot easier then taking ingame pics of generals and cutting them out with paint and shp editor... ._. took me hours to make scrin construction yard and american/chineese power plant. To be honest, american powerplant was not worth it... i wont use it lol.

Though does anyone know where these structures come from and if it really is free source (and who made them in english text, its hard to rely on google translator)

One more thing. Is "Do not Spit Paper" a real username? :p I have a lot of this guys stuff but im worried that google is wrong and i would be in the wrong to credit him/her under that name :(

You can search on Ra2DIY but you can't download assets. You have to become a member in order to download the assets.

I know I have seen them some where, I am going to have to check the mods I have Dl and look through them.


why copy and paste. extract them from the big file and then use 3dmax to bring in each normal, damaged and occupied frame, get the textures from the game and place them. I was working on bringing over all the buildings I could from generals

If so, if you knew the names of buildings I could extract them and brings things over and make shps of them.

There is a guy called Z-H on ra2diy, he released a mod that contains GLA assets, but(edit) not its his assets

hell yeah i would like things like that ._. who wouldnt? It be useful for the early days of my campaign. Though really, GLA stuff wise, id like little bit of everything :/ though i need really a refinery. I suppose i could use slave logic but then id need good worker shps or something.

this is for Jihad, not GLA... and with all the GLA symbols over everything... its why i only did the powerplants and scrin construction yard from c&c 3...

I dont know anything about the 3d to voxel stuff and it takes me forever to learn anything ._. so that be why i do it the hard way.

Well, its not too hard, but i am working on bringing the buildings from both over. I'll post up when I have the 3d buildings transferred over to shp format

Ok, i believe I have all the buildings separated in to individual buildings folders, now comes the fun part of matching buildings and textures, after which I have to render the building and then convert over to shp format

what the hell... i never seen that structure in my life here before xD i probally ignored it since images didnt work for me O.o

so i guess it is him that does them ._. thanks remus.. sorry i didnt look hard enough (to think i could of spent 3 mins here instead of 3 hour on the chineese site)

still doesnt cover the other strucutres, but atleast i now know its possible to convert structures faster then im doing now (matter of learning i guess) and atleast i know who to ask in pm. thanks guys for all your help. sorry im an idiot sometimes xD

well, bringing over the buildings isn't hard, the textures are seeming to be a problem.I started with the hospital (it was an easy texture to find) just to see what was involved. I had to scale the building down and out a bit to make it fit. It looked fine, then I proceeded to the damage image, I realized that I had changed the scale and that might be a problem since I am just starting out using max. I am going to have to work with this to see what I can do to bring in the buildings....this might be a problem that will take a bit of time.

blegh, turns out i had thoes for awhile. site is a huge pain though if you rely on google translator. Still doesnt tell me where the refinery is ._. thanks though... .-. what did you typed in google? :/
