Is there a pallete tool which scans an image and creates a pallete out of it?
I know there are pallete EDITORS, but I need to create a new one for the logo.

XCC Mixer can read PCX files & then save the pal it's using.

Photoshop can extract the pal from any file too.

It's 24 bit file so it doesn't have a palette applied (pcx files with pals are 8 bit). You'll have to create & add a palette to it first.

Here comes the n00b talking:
So if I just create an empty pallete and apply it to the .pcx file it will work?

EDIT: I have copied it as SHP(TS), copied it as .pcx and created a .pal. It works now, just need to repair the top.

I dont really like the result, shame of the effects, needs repairin'

IIRC if you copy a pcx file without a pal to shp then it will apply the pal currently being used.

What Gfx editor are you using? Most have the option to automatically create & add a pal to a file. OS Shp Builder can even do this for you.

PS: What are you planing to use this for?

I use ATM Sumopaint, I dont think it has that option, since its a public website,
Site

Iam planning this as loadscreen, for the mod. Why?
Is it illegal for me to use the Alpha logo from WW?

I'd recommend getting GIMP. I don't use it but from what I have heard it should do what you want.

If you are using this for a loading screen then it has to be a lot bigger. The loading screens are 800x600 pixels big your image is only 478x189.

The palettes produced from GIMP have the extension .GPL
I changed that extension to .PAL with this result:
I think I am doing something wrong, but I dont know what.

Open the image in GIMP & go to Image > Mode > Indexed & select "Generate optimum pallete" & click "Convert". Then go to File > Save As, click on "Select file type" & pick PCX & then hit save.

Now open XCC Mixer & find the file you just saved, then right click on it & use "copy as shp(ts)" to convert it to shp & also "copy as pal" for the pal file the game needs in order to use the correct colours.

All of this is pointless tho as the image needs to be 800x600 to work properly as a loading screen!

I am redoing the load screens, I extracted them as .PNG edited them and then converted them to .PCX 8-Bit. But when I open it in SHP Builder and change the pallete to MPLS.PAL it gives different colors as then I gave them. Can I create a pallete for each loadscreen? Creating a pallete my own doesn't work either. I only use the same colors as the normal loadscreens.

Hm, sorry for being n00bies at the last post, I created one and first it was corrupted (wrong colors) after a re-check it worked again.
