Difficulty settings question
I have a question about the ** Difficulty Settings ** section in rules.ini. I know the hard AI uses the [Easy] values, normal [Normal] and easy [Difficult] values. But are these values supposed to affect human players? From my testing it didn't matter what difficulty setting I chose in the options menu, I would always be using the [Normal] values. From the comments left over by Westwood you'd think they intended these to affect human players too? The problem I have is that I'd want to change the Cost= value for normal AI to bit lower. But this value is always used for human players as well.
If human players always default to [Normal] settings, whats the point of the difficulty slider in the options menu? It can't be for singleplayer campaign either, since you get to choose difficulty level before you start a campaign. QUICK_EDIT

But it's exactly for this purpose. Since the difficulty level has an entry in sun.ini, it also has a slider in the options menu. This way you can change the default setting for the difficulty when you start a new campaign, where you don't have to change the slider again.
