I was wondering if there was a weapon already in the INI's that could be fired from a unit based on the cargo plane. if there is I would like to know.

Can you be a little more specific? I'm not sure what your asking here. Do you want a weapon that fires from a unit to shoot down the cargoplane or a weopon that the cargoplane can fire at units? or something else?

there are several weapons that are there to choose from. With a big plane like that try using an Air to Ground weapon and use the chem missile for a projectile. But like I said there are lots of posibilities that are already there. Just take a look at the weapons and thier tags and put one together.

You can make something of an AC-130 but it won't go in a circle shooting the ground. I will act like the harrier.

Yeah it flaws a lot. I would reccomend copying a weapon from one of the units that can shoot and move via rhino tank. Then copy projectile and warhead. Change the code to what you want it to be and should work just fine.

When the Rhino Tank passes by something it fires even when it is still moving. So you copy the code and set it up so it fires at ground from air. A simple air to ground weapon. You can make it look like it is firing machine gun rounds or make it so it is firing high powered Nikola Tesla beams. It isn't that hard to just copy something and change a few details.

All weapons do this. You actually need a tag on the unit to stop them doing this. Aircrafttypes aren't exactly friendly with opportunityfire or guard mode so this request is nigh on impossible until that is addressed.

FFS idiotic posts only Ghost of Christmas Past actually provided a proper answer.

To solve the targeting issues with jumpjets you need OmniFire=yes on the actual weapon i.e. it doesn't need to turn to fire at the target.

Generals style AC-130 aka spectre logic though is impossible.
