I just noticed... none of these buildings have any shadows... and the lighting on the buildings seems rather inconsistent.

Thanks for the comments on the WarFac. It kinda makes everything else look crappy Mad I'm already working on improving Conyard and Barracks. I think those two look the worse and need the most improvement.

@Nyerguds, It only takes a few seconds to render a shadow frame, But things tend to keep changing so I dont waste my time with them yet.
As far as the lighting, it should all be the same as I use the same script on everything, could be just an illusion or the way RA2 portrys it's light source.

@ArvinCool, eh it's just Deformat being Deformat. Smile
and I tried a grey door, didnt seem to look right.

From here on out many things most likely will not be changed any further until after the beta release, then and only then I'll be upgrading things. Everythings pretty much to the point where it looks pretty decent for the time being. It shouldnt be to much longer for the Beta Release Very Happy

Honestly they look too big to be the size of regular cameos.

But if we take it that way, the last one looks best,tho I kinda dislike the text.IMO it should be white or black.

Remember that ingame it becomes a 64x48 image, squeezing that font to a size that it's hardly readable. Best stick with the TS/RA2 font, or leave the text away completely.

Maybe try to add a black border/outline (I'm not sure which word is correct) to the text,I think pure white don't look really good.

edit: I just tried to do it,but it's more challenging to do it than I thought at the cameo size.Well my tools are outdated,and my skills...don't exist,so it's far from impossible to have a proper text displayed I suppose.
But trying to use common fonts may be a bad idea in any case,they don't do well at low res.

If you want the cameo to look like the vanilla ones,
try the cameo generator in the shp builder.

If you don't want to lose the colours, use the above method, copy the text with the black text bar
and paste it to any image editor and that should work(if you're going to use Ares, at least).

RA2/YR icon size is 60x48 not 64x48.

64x48 is icon size of TS.

yea, I quickly found that out when I was adding them to the game. That last pair of icons up above is actually the 60x48.

It's Highly stable and able to withstand heavy bombardment. Will take more than a few tanks to bring this down. A good Airstrike might penetrate it though Wink

that looks cool, but there is 3 missiles and 2 explosions. Try adding Cluster=3 to the projectile

It already has Cluster=3, just sometimes the game wont display all 3 explosions.

I decided to just scrap that last building (gave me too many probs) and am now going with this. and it fits in better with the other new rf buildings.

So this will be the new RF Missile launch pad. The nuke anims are no longer used either. instead will be using this explosion combo.

Also redesigned the missiles too.
