Here's a short story i wrote...

One day after an ion storm, a small GDI patrol started out from the base. It consisted of 5 light infantry and 2 wolverines. About 5 minuits into the patrol, the ground started to rumble. The light infantry started to panic, and a squad of 4 devil's tounges rose from the ground, first the front wheels, bristling. One rose underneath a gdi soldier. The gdi soldier started to sink, and was never seen again. A devils tounge shot a fireball at a wolverine, and knocked it over, and came to finnish of the job by cruching it with it's menacing teeth. Another Devil's Tounge came and shot a fireball not as well hit as the last devil's tounge and melted the other wolverine. Now 4 trembling gdi soldiers were left for the killing.
A despret transmission reached the GDI base. "We need reinforcements! Were outnumbered, and have 2 wolverines and 1 soldier down! AAUUURGH!" said a soldier with a blood curling cry. 3 soldiers left. A well placed shot hit a Devil's tounge, and it exploded, and debris from it hit another devil's tounge, crushing it with it's comrad's spikes. A rush a flame came out from behind and almost hit a soldier, but he dogded right before it hit. "We need reinforcements now!" Then, an ill fated orca transport came, and was shot by a devil's tounge, and colapsed. Then, silently but deadly, bombs sailed down and hit theyr'e mark. A devil's tounge was destroyed by it's own weapon of choice: Fire. Then a lone harpy came from the horizon, to asist the failing devil's tounge. It started shooting at the lone trio, but well placed bullets shot it down, and it crushed the devil's tounge, and theyr'e explosion combined made a gigantic fireball, sweeping the whole area. All except three things. Then, a sight of 5 hover mlrs gliding across the water and an amphibious apc accompaning them, they rejoiced. As the APC pulled up, 2 banshees came across the horizon. The apc took off with the soldiers, and a well shot H-MLRS rocket shot down a banshee, and it crashed into the other one, crashing into the water. The trip back was uneventful, and the soldiers lived to fight again and became generals.
