I read about this some place that you can do some kind of script that changes all the maps to have things you add in like your own triggers. How would I do that? I did try making a new game mode but failed. Could someone explain this to me. I did try google but it brought me to Miami Beach maps for Yuri's revenge.

Are you thinking of a script for the game, windows, or FinalAlert???

What you're saying doesn't really make sense.

The only thing I can think of that would do what you want is a series of scripts/batch files that use XCC Mixer to extract the maps, run Final Alert to add the triggers/units/whatever you're talking about, then run XCC mixer again to put the files in a mix. o_O

I doubt what I just said is even possible.

I read about this a long time ago before I really got into modding. Some kind of script that added a timer to the game. You where able to run the game and it added a timer to each level.

Oh, I get it now. Hotrods, the only purpose AFAIK of Fscripts s to duplicate a trigger or series of triggers onto a map (so that they're the same every time). I don't know much about Fscripts, but I don't think they allow for opening/closing maps.

Why would you want to add a timer to every map anyway?

I am looking into creating a survival mod with 4 teams countries. Americastan, Russia, Yuri, and Zombies. I did extract a map and attempted to make a game mode like I said that added the timer. In the game mode way I made a new map and gave it a trigger that set the timer and a trigger that started it. I then saved it and opened it in wordpad and extracted the codes for it. I can't get it right now seeing I'm no where near my modding computer but I think I'm on the right track.

Okay got it. When I say that. I mean the file the game mode still doesn't work.

BUMP

But on subject. I assume what I'm asking is impossible and didn't change a thing about game mode's that include timers.

Gamemode.ini cannot support triggers. At all.

Survival maps - are made on a per map basis. There are plenty out there to look at as well. I understand you wanted a survival mode, but a map-pack bundle can be good as well.

I plan on re-releasing my latest Survival series again with bug fixes - balancing, additional Side specific tech, and 2 additional levels, if you want I'll send you a sneak peak. Mind you, my survivals seem rather impossible to some people.

Well I will get to work adding a trigger to every map and getting rid of all the spawns. How do you create a new game mode that only selects certain maps.
