need more information

Hi all.
Can someone point me to some bit of information about the engine under the hood of tiberian sun?
I'd also appreciate some link to files format description...
And, finally, does anyone know if there is some open source software that can read the voxel and other files?

I'm searching for them but all the infos seem a bit old and buried in tons of forums...

There is quite an array of tools, some of them open source:

-voxels can be read with VXLSE3: *Here*
-shps can be read with the SHP editor: *Here*
-tmps can be read with TMP Studio: *Here*
-maps can be edited with FinalSun: *Here*
