How was it? I made these a long time ago for a still on going battletech mod. Once I am finish with it one day.. one day.. it will have around 50 mech units..

They have alright shapes and designs, but you really have to work on the colouring/textures. The voxel editor has a tool to extract the textures, if you use that with the palette you can paint some really nice ones on. Especially remember to use gradients and slight details.

FYI Media Hut if for "only-viewing" things, while Media Hut->Voxels is for finished stuff with downloads.

Anyway, as MT pointed out the shapes are ok but not the textures.
In addition are the legs of the MadCat/ Tiberwolf not correct. They are avianoid legs with only 2 segments (think, shank) + the foot. The segment going down from the hips is too much.

anyway there seems to be a problem with the vxllIIIeditor exporting textures at the moment. Maybe get an earlier version of the program. I'm quite certain they work fine in older ones.

Eh, not sure if this is the place to post WIP stuff... this is the forum to post finished voxels in.

As for the voxels... do they have normals? I see a load of staircase effects on supposedly round stuff.

Yeah sorry, I was kind of a noob at this.. wrong Forum. That is not a Madcat in the photo. It is a Viking, 95 Tons Comstar mech. The Arms have been subsitude for cannons instead of LRM boxes.

About the texture.. it is a nightmare for me to get that done properly. So wondering if any one can give me some advice.

This should be moved to the media hut.

Good work on the shapes. They're pretty accurate. But the colours will make them look shit ingame, either they would look too bland or friggin' bright (not sure in TS but they would be eye killers in RA2 X_x).

Yeah dutily noted next time when I decide to post a topic like this in the future.

yeah the colours.. I can hear 600 different voices in my head from this forum telling me.. colors..COLORS Very Happy feeling like a Borg in a collective! LOL.

Too bad I am a Noob at painting these mech though, one day when I get all those mech done I will release it here and hopefully if I can have a good volunteer who can help..

I think the colors should be quite easy to fix using the VSE texture tool.

Export the texture and then use the front/side pictures from www.mechwarrior3.org to replace the texture with the real images.
This should improve significantly the texture and also shouldn't be that difficult and taking very long.
