XCC RA2 ObjectExtractor

Anybody ever use the ExtractObject function with XCC? and why does it extract objects as .xif files. What type of file is this and whats it used for?
Just curious.

From what I gather this must be just a placeholder for object data or something for the xcc program, I dont see any other uses for it other than that. The data it extracts is already whats found in the Rules and Art ini's. But like I said I was just curious to what it's purpose was for, thats all nothing else.

no problem. I bookmark stuff or copy info that might seem useful. Even if I find it is no longer useful I still hold on to it because there might be some one looking for it in the future.
