'cause we get sweidish guests and we were given the task to present something for them. So, my group has choosen this topic - well, similarities and prejudices. Thus it would be intersting to hear the opinion of different people (well, swedish ofc ) toward germany.
Yes, a bit strange, but we want to, somehow, list the prejudices to make a statement toward them, or something like that. TBH, it wasn't the topic I really wanted, but it isn't that bad neither^^ _________________

I'm from Sweden. I was at some small town in Northern Germany and noticed the public toilet had a condom automat conveniently placed. Are germans oversexed? Not to mention all the porno I hear about "german sluts" here and there.
Edit: It's hard to say what prejudices I have regarding germans. I heard about a techno festival in an article for about a month ago that reported there being 17 deaths because of trampling, because the festival had about 1.3 million visitors!! I know Scooter is a big techno/trance name for maybe one and a half decades, is it commonplace for germans to listen to techno? You speak about the Loveparade incident. It happened because the facility was designed to hold up to 250'000 visitors, but it attracted more than one million.
It's difficult to say whether Germans are a gang of 80 million techno-vikings. There is no one among my friends or family who listens extensively to techno/rave/trance music. But there must be a lot of people who do, seeing that Scooter is the most successful german band of all time. Seems to be a bit like it was with the Pet Shops Boys in the early 90's. No one will admit it, but everyone owns at least one record/song. At least I do. QUICK_EDIT
Umm, well, everyone has prejudices, right? xD
I mean, don't you got any of them? German people are often displayed with a sausage (or how they are called) and all these things. _________________

Yeah, everyone has prejudice towards something, I meant I just didnt know the swedans in particular as a Nation were prejudice towards the Germans. Not saying they are not, it's just something new to me that I never knew thats all.
Well, I don't know if the whole Nation got particular prejudices, but I'm sure there is a common image of a german.
Many prejudices are personal, but you can collect all of them and try to see which one is represented more then others, and then you can try to show if these prejudices is true, partly true or completely wrong _________________

The dumbest myth ever that I've seen and heard about Swedes is when Hollywood portrayed Swedish women as austrian/swiss-like and called Inga. Possibly the least common name ever, at best as an extension name like Inga-lill (used by middle-aged women) which is common but there are other names that are far more common.
Edit: I don't think I have any particular pre-judices about germans. I've been there once too. QUICK_EDIT
So this is a class that helps to solidify and enforce stereotypes and ignorant thoughts about another country by making its students write papers about it?
Why do I find this ironic? _________________ You come for the modding but you stay for the Crap Forum. QUICK_EDIT
huh? Well, it isnt meant that way. It is our own choosen topics to find stereotypes and prejudices to parody it. Additional we wanted to search for similarities. I don't know. I didnt choose the topic, I just accepted it. _________________
