Flamethrower
I have added a flamethrower infantry to my mod and i was wondering if anyone had the coding for the flamthrower used on the sentry gun from the mod Aftermath. I think that would be perfect for my unit the only problem is i don't have the coding for the weapon. Does anyone have that? Or something like that i can use? QUICK_EDIT
Particle weapons aren't recommended. They don't allow for promotions, which may be an issue for some people. _________________ KGR | AT

That's actually a lame solution honestly. Find proper flame animations like the ones Napalm did in Supernova, which is entirely free source. _________________ KGR | AT

Nah, flame thrower is the most easier thing to implement.
Simply, just use fire shp, make projectile to use that shp, set warhead and thats it.
For example for testing purposes, I just copied Rhino's weapon and fixed warhead to do damage to infantry, changed projectile to fireball, and that's it. Easy as can be! I am not expert, I am just decant, but I have seen people asking for flamethrowers, and I haven't seen any good weapon yet. Particle system seems nice but hard to control its weapon. Trailers, nah I do not like them for flamethrower.
And do not forget about flame sounds of course. If I can find that I am going to post you code. I have here plenty of private mods, I cannot remember where is flamethrower located. I do not use it cause I have lunar maps, and fire doesn't work on moon, logically. _________________

RA2/YR wasnt equipt for flame throwers and the like. In fact Westwood had just about taken out everything there was to do with fire. Fireball launcher was left over from TS, but still works. Though using a flame particle isnt really the way to go unless its done right. I'd recommend getting a hold of a decent flame anim made for flame throwers and use it instead. They are out there, just goto go find em.
If all else fails you could convert TS Flameall anim and try that one. QUICK_EDIT
I can try, i was just wondering if anyone had the coding for the fireball from the mod aftermath because that would be perfect if not i can try that but I'm new to modding so I dont know how well it'll work out QUICK_EDIT

these here seem to work alright for flamethrowers, though ive seen way better anims for this type of weapon these are suitable. you could probably link up the s_brnl30 on the weapon, and use flamethro as a projectile image. I dont know try them out.
