Department of Defense website full of images with a massive database to search through. Use and abuse keywords. Don't be broad with your searches. Just because you put in Soviet and only got three things, doesn't mean other key words will give you less results. The images are free for public use as well.

A weird blog with all sorts of crap from Russia. Theres PLENTY of old USSR stuff that comes up of Civilian and Military stuff. I suggest starting with a search of Kubinka. Semi NSFW at times. Expect to see plenty of Russian women and terrible drivers. Don't let your first visit discourage you.
The comments section will discourage you, though.
World War 2 in color

World War II photographs... In color. Some are from colored film from the period, but most were colored after the war. The Nazis didn't have DSLR cameras so don't expect the color to look as good as it does in real life, but... hey, its colored WWII. Good starting point.
Has a forum, I don't use it, so I can't really vouch for or against it.

Old site from the Ole Tyme Daes. Concept art & beta gold mine though for C&C 1-3. RA3 and beyond sections aren't worth wiping your ass with, though. Very good site and an excellent start for an idea journey.
Any Chan's hi-res board
Find a chan on your own. Theres a ton of them. Some have weapons and or military boards, but comb the wallpapers and HiRes boards. You might get lucky. NSFW of course. Worst case you might come away with a nice new wallpaper. Bring a fapkin.
