Can we made a Teleporting machine to immediately transport unit to another place (another Teleporting machine)? Something like one in End Of An Era (part 2) mission. Thanks.

Oh, no, Sr, my english is bad.
In End Of An Era (part 2), when your unit stand on a determined cell, they will be automatic tranported to another determined cell? Ever play that mission?

I think my Teleporting machine something like a general's tunnel network ?

I'm pretty sure that was entirely scripted in the mission

So that'd be a no - it won't work in YR.

Or have Ares implement it.

Dude your walking down a road with a dead end. It currently is "impossible." I asked before and found squat. What you want can only be implemented by a third party patch.

EDIT: YOu could try too create it. It "only" requires basic knowledge of a programming language. ;^)

Westwood's own front end, or however it should be called...
The set of tags you have to work with defines how units operate in regards to the engine, but it takes actual modification of the engine to change the way tags operate in regards to units.

it's a question of what language is required to be able to make can.make.up.tags= a valid tag, for which C++ would be the armament of choice.

C++ would only be the armament of choice if you were using something like syringe and yr++ to create a new dll to be injected (as ares does). Without those its assembly or you build your own syringe and yr++.

Yeah, but everyone who's recently suggested that more assembly is what we need has been pointed in the direction of Ares and been encouraged to consider syringe instead.
Although, this is all from the layman's perspective, my grasp of C being quite shaky in all respects.

People are more than welcome to write their own DLLs for Syringe, as they can be injected along with Ares. I mean, we can't expect Ares to cover every need of every mod.

@4star: I love the sig

ONTOPIC: You could just make it so all the units teleport. That would be interesting.
