ANd it's in the wrong angle for ingame use, it should have an isometric angle instead of a head-on angle.

I'd hate to be the one to point this out but it doesn't seem to fit in with any of the explosions ingame. It would probably be better than what I could do, but I don't see any real use for this.

It's terrible. It has no definition, no real start and end state, no "burnout" or "smokeout", not in the correct angle, too jumpy, and is too simple.

Your best bet is to actually utilize the abilities of photoshop (or equivilant program) rather than just paint or .shp builder.

The only 2 people here to give real criticism for this guy to improve were M7, and Darkstorm. Rest of you should keep your mouths shut. Everybody starts somewhere, and when people like Apollo put people down for trying new things it ruins future modders.

In all honesty, no-one wants Explode2. Anyone with a bit of practical sense can tell how poor this animation is. It reminds me of some SHP sprites I did in 2005 when I had no experience with any graphics software aside from MSPaint. Fortunatelly I wasn't eager/stupid enough to post them because there honestly was no point to do that.

That may be, but it's also instructive to tell someone not to do something, and in this case post animations like Explode 2. Would you be happy when a kid painted stick figures onto your white walls with red paint, and not nag about it as it "may harm" the kid's creativity?

And so you criticize him for even posting? You lot sound like Icyson.

Nobody may want the explosion animation, but people can offer tips on how he can improve. If you just insult him and say his works are trash then it's a discouragement to even try and improve.

Offer some good advice and people try and improve.

Repaint them white walls to white.
Give him a canvas or sketchpad to put his creativity onto.

I'll quote what I said before. I'm not trying to bash you (like Joshy suggested.. maybe he doesn't have the ability to understand the complexity of my post.)

Take a look at explosion images and try to emulate the general shape, form, and colors of them. Like i said previously. This has no general definition. Also, the animation is horribly off-angled.

Seriously. Now it's just rotated... that doesn't change anything angle related. What changes the angle is the curvature of the bottom of the orb.

All in all, this is a paint job anyone could do in 5 minutes with the Circle tool.

Joshy my anims works are all out there so i know what i am talking about kid! Rolling Eyes so sharing crap is worthless waste of space, nothing more nothing less.

In any case if the guy improves then his stuff is worth posting for share, until then it is media hut showcase for opinions material.

Edit: it is better but lack of detail and use of limited few colors doesn't help much.

Fair enough, man. I really don't know who's posted what out there in the community though, so I'm oblivious to what's floating around in terms of assets that have been shown.
