I like it. Very well built Smile Not trying to nag, but the remap around the outside (the prism shaped things) is too bright. I suggest finding a grey shape and then using the red as a blending option (in photoshop "color" works best) that way it doesn't look so bright..

Thanks daTS, I'll take a look at doing that tomorrow. Generally what I do is desaturate the part, darken it, change the color balance on midtones and highlights to red, and then resaturate it. Works pretty well.

using the color option keeps the grain and different levels the same, just changes the hue. I try to use it as much as possible.

looks almost like a perfect replica, nice work! SE side looks a bit bright on the center, maybe could use less white, more brick (template allowing).

Would be nice as a special mission-only building for some SP campaign, protect/destroy this building.

You seem to have missed a pipe on the base tho, and the remap parts in the middle of the tower aren't quite shaped right, too curved inwards on your remake.

Still, nice.

Are you going to use it in PreRA2 along with the pre-release Nuclear Reactor? They are from different stages and have different domes. Or are you going to update the dome of either of those?

We can easily change the Dome to the grey dome if we wanted to, and yes all this work shown off in the threads will be in PreRA2.

Not true at all. I'm trying to recreate the version seen in the early early screenshots, but filling in the holes with content from later in development so as to produce a finished game.

Not true at all. I'm not trying to recreate as much prerelease content as possible, I'm trying to create a fun and balanced mod based on the original alphas. However, much information is missing about that stage so my role is to do my best to fill in the holes and create, in the end, a fun, original and enduring mod.

My chief goal is to create a fun and playable and balanced mod, which draws its base from the alpha screenshots.

I'm most likely going to go with a black dome, as I think it suits the soviet architecture better. But I will unify the dome scheme for all buildings, this one included. However, the version of this SHP that I release will have a release dome, to make it more suitable for other peoples work. Same thing goes for my nuclear reactor and for my construction yard.

Thanks for the pointers, bro. There's a few things that I need to touch up, but I didn't really notice the poor shape of the red pieces. The pipes I'm considering replacing with something else, because I can't seem to replace them half-way decently. Maybe something more fitting with the debris of other stuff.
